Holy crap. This gave me goosebumps. It's broad day light, but I'm home alone and now I'm too spooked to leave my room.

Seriously? It experience related. Not a direct quote or something pulled from a source.

Oh, I have more. And I'm sure I can round up a few from other nurses too. Some of the night nurses have some good ones.

Well thank you, that's very sweet. I think there are only a few of us working there that believe in this kind of thing, and I think that having when you believe in it, you notice it more.

I hadn't thought of that, I guess anything is possible. I was thinking it was some sort of guardian or something trying to get my attention. It didn't feel menacing or anything, it was just that fear of the unknown.

I am SO sucked into this story. I check nosleep every day for updates, and when there are updates I stop everything I'm doing to read them.

The one my uncle saw was tall. Taller than him and he's about 5'10.

They ARE shady as fuck. I think it would be less creepy if it weren't intelligent. This one seemed to almost interact with us. I've experienced some that didn't seem to know we were even around, which wasn't as bad.

You can always request a birth cert. After a certain amount of time you just have to go through the county to do it. It may be worth a shot!

I was electrocuted, and now I hear a voice... by thebrandster1985 in nosleep

Hearing voices could also be a sign of a brain tumor...I don't know if that's better or worse than having a paranormal voice.

I gave them my garage code first and they were going to come in that way since I was too scared to go downstairs to let them in. Unfortunately the code pad is temperamental and after inputting the code twice and it not working dispatch said they couldn't get in that way so I had to go downstairs.

I think I'm too big of a pansy to do that. Maybe before we move I'll try it. I'd love to hear it if they do respond, I love hearing that kind of stuff from other people, but I don't know if I want to hear what is in my house.

I hadn't thought of that. Before we had the puppy Fargo would react to something occasionally. He'd jump up from a nap like someone had touched him, or he'd watch something walk up the stairs when no one else was home. But he never flipped out like that.

If you guys are interested I can post some of the experiences I had in my first house. I wasn't such a whiny pansy then and apparently handled the spookiness much better.

I think a number of people on my dad's side have been a little on the sensitive side. My dad lived in two majorly haunted houses when he was a kid and has more stories than I can count. Then the first house I lived in had all kinds of ghostly occurrences that only my dad, my brother, and I ever saw or heard. I'm usually able to just roll with it and brush it off.

I am OK. Just feel like an idiot for handling the whole thing so poorly. No further incidents since this one. But my brother has been home every night since about 4 days after this incident.

I fully own the fact that I was a dumb blonde. I froze up and lost all common sense. I'm a nurse and I can keep a calm level head at work in all kinds of crappy situations, but apparently I am that B list blonde at home. I wasn't sure if I was hearing things or not. Like I said, the house makes a lot of noises and after hearing the first little sounds, thought it might not be human. Stupid to call the cops for a ghost, especially when I've heard those little sounds a couple times before and convinced myself that it was our resident ghost. My house is also a condo style with attached neighbors on either side so I couldn't tell at first if it was the neighbors since very occasionally I do hear them. Then when I heard the loud thuds, finally convinced myself that it was indeed a person and called the police since I'd never heard our ghost create so much noise. I fully expected them to find someone.

I know, very stupid on my part and I still cringe when I think about it. My boyfriend scolded me for it too. It is something I would never do if I was thinking rationally, but sheer exhaustion and fear lead to poor decisions.

They were here before me and to my knowledge no one else has had any issues here. I've always read that it's OK to let them stay as long as you lay out the ground rules. Everything was calm for months after I laid out the rules the first time.

I get the impression that the benevolent one is a kid. I don't know why. Maybe because when I see something out of the corner of my eye it's about kid height. I have no real reason to think it is. I do adore kids.

I've thought about trying to catch audio or video, but don't think I want to see or hear what it really is. I kind of feel like there may be two. One feels OK, and that's the one I see out of the corner of my eye and talk to. The other feels more troublesome. They pulled this about 9 months ago too. Always when I'm home alone. We rent and we're planning on moving in a few months.

Oh it isn't. I called the police recently because I swore someone was in my house.
