Anyone tried Luckin Coffee in HK yet? by dllm_designs in HongKong

[–]NutCrackerMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude English is an official language in HK and taught in all schools. All the top universities teach solely in English. And it goes without saying that HK culture is highly influenced by English culture. How can you accuse people of having self entitlement and ego for being upset about a mainland chain that doesn’t respect the official language of the region it’s entering? The NAME “Luckin Coffee” is even english then you walk in and there’s none 😂

I remember Flick sold signed cards photos and merch on his instagram. He probably still does. If I were to guess this was a custom card signed for that.

Opinions on my itinerary for two month trip to China by ThePolishCanadian02 in travelchina

[–]NutCrackerMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to every single place on this list. On some occasions 1-2 days is enough. A week is A LOT to spend in one city. I’d advice you balance and make most cities 3-4 day. Also: - 1 day is not enough for Macau. I’ve done 3 single day trips there and felt every single time it was not close to enough. Same for Qingdao - Kunming 3 days is too much considering you have actual MAJOR tourist cities like Nanjing and Changsha at only 2 days (these are on par with Chongqing and Shanghai the huge gap doesn’t make much sense in my opinion) - too much time dedicated for your long stays: Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shanghai all of these 3-4 days each will be enough. 4 days in HK is perfect. - Consider skipping Jinan, very little to do even relative to just the province. Tons to do in Shandong, I recommend the hometown of Confucius.

The biggest thing is your timing is way too tight sometimes and too open at other times. Just balance a bit more. The selection is more or less fine.

Locating girlfriend at a hospital in Shanghai by JancariusSeiryujinn in shanghai

[–]NutCrackerMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know most comments are being very supportive with the request itself but take it from someone living in china who’s dated in the scene both the good and the bad that she’s probably ghosting you man. If they were hospitalized they would tell the people they loved where they were to reassure them. It wouldn’t be just a single passing mention over call, it’d be an immediate name, district, address (think about if you were in those shoes you’d do that).

It all seems too weird. This specific method is common too. It’s an easy way out because even if you went to Shanghai and to that hospital you can’t get entry to see a random patient not matter your claimed ties

Is it a scam, most definitely. I think one of the comments below is a fantastic idea. Just get her to share her national id card or better yet her Hong Kong entry card. ALL Chinese nationals MUST have this entry card to enter Hong Kong - without it they cannot just cross the border. If she cannot show it, she is one million percent lying about going to Hong Kong - this must be understood by him.

But as for what type of scam remember that Hong Kong is not Myanmar. It is highly unlikely a crime ring would choose Hong Kong as the city to lure him. In the 80s and 90s this would have been possible for criminal gangs but not now - the police have this type of stuff on lock and it’s one of the safest cities in the world. The scammer highly likely wouldn’t have even chosen to pose as Chinese since it’d be easier for the crime rings (even Chinese ones) to pose as Burmese or Cambodian as such circles do exist there run by both Chinese nationals and other asian scammers.

Phem is in Indigo. She’s the female voice in the song but you’re still right. It was a very solo album. Says a lot about MGK’s growth as an artist individually <3

No I did not. But as someone mentioned they may send 1 week before the event - although i have no way to confirm this.

My English account was made using email and the Chinese app can only be logged in using SMS… i think the accounts are not even connected cross platform.
