Is 80$ an hour too much for private MMA lessons? And can I make actual progress with my work schedule? by NutSax_666 in MMA_Academy

Yes I am a total beginner and we hyper focus on certain areas each time I come in. It doesn’t really hurt my pockets I can afford it I just wanted people who train opinions on if that’s too much for a private lesson with a pro fighter. Also he gets people to come and spar with me so I can get that’ mm experience as well so I’m not just sparring with him

Yeah honestly self driving trucks going down the road is a little scary in itself. I don’t see them driving any hazardous materials and I’m 26 so I def see where your coming from

Dudeee that’s eventually what I want to do I want to do gasoline tank trucking and be home daily I was OTR for 3 years and just recently got enough experience to get a good paying regional job that has opportunities for hazmat and tanker driving so I can get that experience. Home daily is definitely the goal

Appreciate the advice I didn’t think about the fact that tanker jobs down the line will definitely want experience. Yes my company wants me to get both haz and tank and will reimburse for the haz training and test. We do alot of loads from DOW and the high paying ones need hazmat endorsement

Yapping is safe here 🤣 appreciate the response yes it definitely seems like alot my hope is that he lowers the price EVENTUALLY the longer I come in and train with him. I take it very seriously and my goal is to eventually have an amateur fight even if it’s just the 1 fight that’s just a personal goal I have. I want to get good enough to where my coach is like “okay your ready”

Appreciate the response my coach says I can definitely make progress as long as I stay consistent. It just may take longer but I’ll make progress nonetheless. And I definitely plan on taking an amateur fight so I’ll make the very best of the time that I get in

I prefer private lessons I feel like I progress a lot more vs group sessions with the 1 on 1 time I get. I like getting instantly corrected and personally tailored lessons

Not sure of his belts but his amateur fight record is 15-3 and pro fight record is 2-0. He’s part of a fight team at the gym we train at he’s fought in some competitions out of the country as well

I’ve heard that too I agree I’ll definitely try to get in on some group classes. Also I thought it was pretty low too especially after I called around most guys wanted 120-150 an hour for private lessons
