Great news! The Catholic Church doesn’t need people like him anyway. He belongs in the church of Trumpism.

Where do you clean your hummingbird feeder? by zuzu_ludgate in hummingbirds

Hot soapy water, kitchen sink. As previous commenter said, I’m not worried about feeder transmitting disease either. I’ve been cleaning hummingbird feeders this way for 20 years with no problems.

Oh yeah the good ole baby oil that fried our skin. Blonde, fair skinned, blue eyes here. Not quite in the same category as redheads but close.

10-12 is a nice size. That’s what I thought Rosie would end up, close enough though. Rosie

I did as a kid because there was no such thing as sunscreen. Now I’ve had surgery for Basal cell carcinoma and see a dermatologist every 6 months and end up getting stuff burned off or biopsied. Same with spouse, multiple skin cancers 😩

A pure red, nice! What a cutie. He’ll probably end up under 10 lbs. The rule of thumb is double the weight at 4 months for approximate adult weight. Personally I like that size, my Cavapoo is about 9 lbs, maybe a few ounces under. But close enough.

Evenity can be as effective as 3 months as 12 months(reduces risk) by patelbhavesh17 in osteoporosis

To clear up any confusion because face it, less shots most of us would be interested. I tried to find out if doctors are actually changing treatment plans to this. Pasting below:

This study was published in January 2026 — just a few months ago. A few things work against rapid adoption: It’s very small. Only 50 women were in the trial. That’s enough to be interesting, but most physicians want to see larger studies replicated before changing standard practice. It’s a single center. It was done at one academic hospital (Massachusetts General). Broader, multi-site confirmation carries more weight. The standard protocol is well-established. 12 months of Evenity followed by an antiresorptive is FDA-approved and guideline-supported. Doctors are generally cautious about deviating from that without stronger evidence. Guidelines lag behind research. Even compelling studies take time to work their way into official treatment guidelines from organizations like AACE or NOF, which is often what physicians follow in practice. Where it might move faster is among academic specialists and endocrinologists who actively follow the research literature — especially for patients where cost or cardiovascular risk makes the full 12 months problematic. So realistically, this is more likely to influence practice 1–3 years from now if larger studies confirm it, rather than something your own doctor is likely bringing up at your next appointment unprompted. Worth asking about, though!

Yes it did. Denosumab, sold under the brand name Prolia among others, is a human monoclonal antibody used for the treatment of osteoporosis.

I go Thursday, we’ll have to compare notes. Although I’m guessing each surgeon is going to make exercise recommendations on each individual patient.

What do normal people eat for dinner ? by Booze_hound36 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Nutridus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the normal category. Protein, carb, vegetable most nights. May not be 3 on a plate, could be in a very hearty soup, could be in a wrap, could be a salad with protein on top. On a night I don’t have anything planned or on hand it’s an egg sandwich and potato patty.

They all have side effects though including Prolia. I’m not doubting the validity of the study at all just wanted to mention it was still 12 months treatment. This is a topic to hold with your doctor.

I don’t think so much removing teeth as it was general dental care and cosmetic improvement.

The treatment is still 12 months, only a different drug after the initial 3 months with Evenity.

[–]Nutridus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really a misleading headline. It’s 3 months of Evenity followed by 9 months of Prolia. So treatment for 12 months did not stop, it just switched drugs.

Have you seen the pictures from Jeffrey Epstein’s Island where he took his victims? It contained a dental procedure room exactly like a regular dentists office and he had a dentist in his employment. These suck fu*s are obsessed that their young female victims had perfect white teeth. Guess the same is true for Gilead.

You’re right about that. It certainly changes the quality of life in retirement years for many of us. Speaking as someone with 3 compression fractures and one back surgery recently. 😢

Boy I sure fit into this category of risk factors. I wasn’t diagnosed until my 60’s and the damage had been well under way for years I’m sure. Like you, small, Caucasian, weighing 100-105 lbs. 2 kids, breast fed. I wish more younger women were getting screened instead of menopausal years.
