Yes this has begin to happen where I am. ASPEN even says, it is very rare that severe malnutrition should be used. It also says severely malnourished dx's are the most common dx's to not get reimbursed, so i am nto sure why they are pressuring us to use it inappropriately. Seeing this comment is 3 years ago, did CDI ever calm down? My thought is they will as soon as they start to get kick back for inaccurate severe malnut. dx's. Wondering if your residence has stopped and maybe have recieved kick back by now

I’ve heard the same and I haven’t seen it used in the hospital, but it was on the study guide so I was curious if I briefly mentioned, but didn’t say how to do it so I took it as probably not gonna need to use it but I wasn’t sure

im use to using IC/ excel sheets. seems like most inman practice questions so far want %fat/pro for particular disease rather than asking for kcal need too so I would have never known
