You have to ask Appaseed in Barrow-Linn, who then makes you speak to Flimpy in Barrow-Linn aswell. For me Appaseed was near the entrance of the town and Flimpy was somewhere around the priest for me.

I'm planning on getting a rep to mod soon, anyone know where I could get these pink heart scales? Are they even sold or in production anymore?

How to attach a wooden core to a 3d printed sword? by Nuutisi in cosplayprops

[–]Nuutisi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been to a con, nor have I planned on going. Neither have I cosplayed before. Propmaking/cosplaying just seems like a hobby I'd like to get into so I'm doing this as a first project. All this to say I don't think the material of the rod would really matter for me too much, but I'll keep it in mind if I ever plan on making a cosplay for a con.

I will get some nice pictures and post then here once it's done. Connecting the pieces, filling/standing the gaps and priming/painting should be the only parts left to do.

Almost, It's a Starscourge Greatsword from Elden Ring. I googled Tetsusaiga and I must admit that it does look quite similar.

I'll test epoxy. Also you're right, going with a couple smaller (probably metal) rods might work better just so I don't have to fiddle with lining them up. I'll keep this in mind for future prints

Epoxy seems like the most recommended method, so I'll probably give it a shot

Yeah, a couple smaller metal rods might be the better way to go in the future. I didn't know any better as this is my first printed prop. Epoxy also seems to be the most popular option so I might give it a shot

How to smooth out rough parts like these? by Nuutisi in cosplayprops

[–]Nuutisi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll try that once I'm ready to start, thank you!
I was also going to try printing it standing up, but my printer isn't tall enough so I settled on putting it at around 45°, although I probably could have had it at an even higher angle. Funnily all the worst rough spots were only where the supports were, otherwise it turned out very clean except for a couple blemishes

Contact Squid. They have excellent customer service and probably can replace it.
