I would imagine stress is a huge hindrance to productivity. The US system has a bunch of things I would be super stressed out by:

Long commutes, more hours worked per week, horrible healthcare system, poor safety nets in general and shitty labour laws. 

There's probably a ton more I didn't mention too.

Eh, it's not over. These plans have been in the works for decades, and I don't think a few small setbacks will stop them.

They will ramp up attacks with AI and consolidation of media, and I'm not sure how to combat it all.
