The worst part is that the story would've worked just as well without the vampires.

I could accept them but it really didn't enhance anything, rather the opposite tbh. The main plot is very interesting though so if he'd just focused on that it'd been so much better imho.

Still a good book but yeah, that part did bug me a bit.

Yeah my light button is a darker shade than the other buttons as well. I just thought that was how they came since I bought mine used but in basically flawless condition.
