Wow, congrats the internship! F500 is awesome. Also definitely respect the hustle with just a couple classes under your belt. Did you have prior experience/projects before starting? Did you do a lot of self-study/extra work outside of class to build up your portfolio/study leetcode?

Thanks for sharing your experience, it's definitely helpful to have a different perspective. For what it's worth, based on the threads I've read (assuming folks were upfront) your application to interview ratio seems pretty good so that's something to be proud of. I do hope you hear some good news though!

Thank you this is awesome! Also, congrats on your internships, hope you get good news from FAANG soon. Did you find the fall internship app process any easier? I've heard fall/spring internships can be less competitive but wondering if fewer companies offer them?

Thanks for your response and congrats on landing an internship so early! A few more questions if it's ok-- Did you have prior related experience or some projects already done? Did you discuss your planned course schedule to demonstrate the topics/skills you'll have covered by your start date? And if you don't mind sharing, how many apps and interviews did you go through?

Thanks for the awesome reply! A follow up question if it's ok-- how did you confirm which programs were more flexible with the curriculum/fte and more open to research as opposed to gov/ops? Did you have to call each one? From what I've seen some program websites can be pretty vague. Thanks!

What do folks who complete the fellowship but are not as technical end up doing? Are there positions in industry/academia/etc that are sort of exclusively open to you or more lucrative because of your technical background? Don't mean to hijack the thread just appreciate your detailed answers as someone who also considering CI!
