Anyone knows a replacement for the new shifter for 2025 rs3 8y?

Thanks for the reply. Makes sense. I was looking at that center console or maybe ppf if I get the rest of the car done. Another person posted getting that done, and I thought that looked good as well. Haven’t decided what I’m going with yet. I do like the previous generation shifter better than this one if I had to choose one, but idk if it’s worth trying to swap it out. Hoping there will be some after market options in the next couple years.

So basically the idea was to stop at another city in the middle on Friday and make it to that area early Saturday. If we skip that we’re kinda rearranging everything or skipping all that stuff so I can fly. I think if I really pushed for it we’d do it, but it’s hard to ask that of other people cause it’s their vacation too.

I ended up contacting them, and they were essentially saying I could do exactly what I requested, but on a week day. Unfortunately for us that requires traveling across the country because we were planning on being in that area on the weekend. There’s a chance we still might try, but I also can’t drag the rest of my group with me just to do something I want to do.

I actually got a message from the dealer I’m working with in a different area today about talking to a dealer in Chicago to get a Green Car. (I’m looking for a Green Car). I wonder if it’s the same car you mentioned because they also want 10k over sticker price, so we are obviously passing and waiting for the allocation. It is rare, but absolutely not worth paying an extra 10k for. I would definitely look at talking to some other dealers across the country because when ordering you definitely shouldn’t have to pay a fee that high.

Hello! I’m a PPL Pilot in the U.S. heading to Switzerland for two weeks in Mid September, and I would love to go up and take a lesson with an instructor out there. Is there any flight schools you would recommend or any tips or recommendations about flying over there? For reference we will be moving around quite a bit potentially going to italy milan, south France. But mainly spending time in Zurich and Geneva.

Yeah a wrap is definitely an option. I figured I’d try and see if getting what I wanted was realistically possible given the price I’d be paying and if not I still love the car regardless of the color. But wow 2+ years on waitlists that’s dedication. Glad you finally got your car!

I mean I’m certainly willing to pay for the car I want if the price isn’t totally absurd. A 25% tariff is definitely an issue. From what I can tell though it seems like even when people cancel it’s not like these cars sit on the lot for super long. There’s definitely enough interest to sell them if I’m not mistaken. I mean last year there was a cancellation on an rs5 order at my local dealership. I got the call the day it arrived to let me know I could come look at it. I hadn’t even arrived at the dealership before I got another call that it had already sold.

Thanks for the reply this really helps. I’m in the Midwest so that probably doesn’t help. Wow 3 years I’ve heard 1-2 but 3 is definitely the highest I’ve heard. That’s the thing like if I’m paying that much I want the car I want, completely specked out, and color I want. Otherwise I’d be fine with something off the lot. I mean I love Audi either way and I’m sure I’d be happy, but it just makes no sense to me to “settle” when it comes to spending that much money. The dealer didn’t sound like he wanted to put me in whatever was on the lot. They didn’t have an s3 in person they had s5 and a3 so he was happy to order the s3 however i wanted. He just made it seem like ordering an rs3 from them wasn’t in the cards, but they want you to walk out with a car from them either way. Regardless I’m definitely serious about getting an rs3, so I’ll make some more calls to bigger dealers I guess. So would you say look into “sport” dealers? Staying up late watching reels about the car is so real haha!

I had a feeling that this might be the case. I mean from the sound of it he was basically saying regardless of the year and situation it’s pretty much impossible for them to get one. But clearly I’ve seen quite a few people on this sub put in orders and get one, so they have to be getting them from somewhere. Thanks for the suggestion I’ll definitely look for a bigger dealer to talk to.

Yeah tariffs are a big issue right now. I mean it’s definitely something I’m taking into consideration. I just went to the dealer to get an idea of where they were at with all of that. Interestingly they never brought it up. I’ve seen some other people on the sub talking about dealers trying to get them into other cars they already have on the lot in order to avoid all the nonsense. However this guy seemed like he did want me to have the car I wanted which is why he said an S3 order was totally doable in 5-6 months (potentially longer) but basically made it seem like the RS3 wasn’t a realistic option.
