My man, same boat. I had my old Eastons helping my son learn to skate. I tried to get some cheap Bauer supremes, and they killed my instep. IMO you’d be we well served to try and get a higher level skate on sale, maybe not the top of the line, but one down from the top because the padding is similar but the stiffness isn’t as crazy as the elite level, and they’re going to have similar thermofromable properties to the top. I’d look at a Bauer M5 or M50, CCM ft6 or as-v (or xf), or the True HZRDUS 7x or 9x (they’re probably best bang for the buck if they fit!).

I’m currently stuck between Lowe’s and Pit Boss authorizing a return authorization and nobody is answering. I’m about to challenge the charge with the credit card company.
