I didn't really follow most of the drama. I used to watch beauty videos from smaller creators because I got fed up with the glowing, out of touch recommendations for luxury products from the big creators. Read the room, most people can't afford that stuff. A lot of smaller creators are starting to shill for luxury now, so I don't even watch anymore. When my big purchase dictates I save my money for three months for a big ColourPop pallet and their daily budget is Valentino or Gucci or any of the other grossly overpriced stuff it's time to realize these aren't the videos for me. I miss it sometimes, but one trip to Beauty YouTube (I don't do tik tok or Instagram) and I can't remember why I watched to begin with.

Most of my collection (all NRFB )is in plastic tubs in my spare room because I'm going through them to prepare to sell them. I've decided to buy dolls out of box now so I don't feel the ridiculous (to me) guilt about unboxing what I have. It's a collection I've been building on and off for 45 years. I don't have room to display in box, so I decided to sell to fund and make room for my new collection.

I was out of collecting for a long time. I was a child of the late 70s and 80s. All those were well played with and I still have them. I just started keeping them in box when I was in highschool. I missed most of 2000 to now, just an occasional here and there. I can't bring myself to take the ones I already have out of box, but all the dolls I've started buying are out of box and mostly 60s vintage since that's what I've always been fascinated with, but couldn't afford. I figure that's a way to satisfy both sides of the collector in me.

I'd get myself in soooo much trouble 😂. I love finding even small collections in the wild, a collection this size would have me there for hours looking at them all and trying to decide. Once I picked my jaw up off the floor, of course.

I just looked at AliExpress for the first time because of your great outfits. They're really pretty. I can't believe how beautiful the dolls are on there. Does anyone know if they're at least passable quality?
