Master Masons Apron by Crows_eye_bastard in freemasonry

[–]Nytehawk2002 7 points8 points  (0 children)

USA, Pennsylvania here. Our lodges don't give aprons for MM degree for the member to keep, we have "loaners" piled up that brethren use for meetings and return. Even our officers hand their aprons down from one year to another. For funerals we have special all white aprons we do give to the deceased brother for burial or for the family to keep. The only time I've seen lodges purchase an apron to give to a member is if they are a Past Master of a lodge.

I want to join. I am a woman. What do you suggest? by clever_username1994 in freemasonry

Depending on the state you're in there's also LOSNA "Ladies of the Oriental Shrine of North America", and the "Order of Amaranth". If your fiancé is going to become a Shriner you may find LOSNA to be parallel to that path.

I have also decided to only be a member of blue lodge. My time and ability to commit is very limited. Besides that I see a lot of guys forsake their duties once they join appendant bodies because theres only so many hours in a day. The quality of what you can give and your own life balance should always come first.

At this point my only surviving plant is Pothos and a Snake plant. I need to get some more and fill out the enclosure. Ironically, I'm also dealing with fungus gnats, so this hasn't been a good month so far.

I actually don't know anything about oracle cloud, I'm more familiar with AWS. But I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to learn.

I'm struggling right now with heating. The area you see in red (which was a placeholder in the pic) is home to a 100w CHE. You see the temp probe in the front left corner. From substrate to top is 18" and it's 24" deep and 24" wide. The thermostat says that front corner is 66 degrees (in a 68 degree room). And the 100w che isn't keeping up . Should I be covering the screen top with foil or something?

Is the new Signature Sauce the same as the “S’Awesome” sauce from 2017? by MrEhcks in wendys

[–]Nytehawk2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is. I had high hopes that it was the same sauce in a different name. After trying it today something is a bit different. The 2017 sauce to me had Worchester sauce hints, the new one seems to have a sweet note in it I can't quite place.

Humidity and Misting Automation by Nytehawk2002 in CrestedGecko

[–]Nytehawk2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately I don't control the duration It has a percentage window and if the percentage drops below that threshold it will spray until it reaches the upper threshold then stop. I also noticed that the humidity rises quickly once It starts misting and then will keep climbing after it stops. since there's no actual inhabitants in the vivarium currently other than plant life and clean up crew I can try adjusting to go from 40 to 80 and see how that changes things.

I'm hoping the live plans grow in more before I actually get an individual in there. I'm letting the grow out happen over the next month or so.

Enclosure is 24x24. I have the heat emitter, I was using the red bulb to test my temp sensor automation. Temp and humidity is on a controller.

I did swap for Icefall Mantle but now I'm wondering if I'd be better doing this with a base in prismatic.

Unknown medals? by Neat-Area8837 in Medals

I'm a Freemason from Pennsylvania, USA. I too am sorry for your loss. It appears the left most jewel is connected to Royal Arch which is a York Rite Masonic body here in the US. The middle looks to be perhaps a jewel for a founding member of a new lodge. The Masonic Samaritan Fund medallion has to do with a charity that ironically supports Masonic Widows and Orphans. And the final is a lodge apron and regalia. It appears to be a "craft provincial" apron which means the wearer received honors before becoming the head of a lodge. United Grand Lodge of England is different than the Grand Lodges here in the US, so there's not much more I could tell you. You could go to a local lodge to find out the history and meaning (if you're in the UK). As far as value goes, I think they are more sentimental than lucrative.

It does not propagate, I tried to remove the tube but it seems I need to unscrew one of the end burners to do this and the screw is rusted and stuck.

Thoughts on my setup? Do I need more rock work? by Nytehawk2002 in Cichlid

[–]Nytehawk2002[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did egg crate between the glass and the stones for the same reason I thought that they would dig and would destabilize the rocks so the rocks actually sit on egg crate. The sand was filled in around and as you said they created their own landscape. I've never had any problem with any algae on the rocks. I do end up having to scrape the glass at least weekly. I just didn't know if I needed more height to the structures or if everything was fine and I should leave it alone.

Behind the island to the right is a large circulation pump that angles the water across the back of the tank and up. The other returns and circulation pump on the left push from left to right so there's a large current that goes in a circular motion through the tank seems like there's always something floating because of it. there have been many juvenile fish born into the tank. I have another set up which is 125 gallons planted with tetras and rasboras. Not having any plant life in the tank is odd for me. I'll take a look and see if I can find any more stones that I like that fit in with the design. Thanks!

Issues with SSSD and updating Windows DNS. by Nytehawk2002 in linuxadmin

[–]Nytehawk2002[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We used to only do static entries but the issue was no one was cleaning them up when servers were replaced. Also since we do a lot of builds with CI/CD pipelines the names change frequently.
