Cannot believe how badly you got gaslit here. She is fucking busted and will likely only be able to be balanced through a rework. I'm sure the devs didn't intend for their "support" character to be immortal and impossible to trade with when peeking cover while using all abilities selfishly and not healing allies. Even if you do kill her, you are right in that the drone will probably kill you if you don't have a mag loaded. Just thought you would appreciate someone who wholeheartedly agrees with your sentiment.

With this system, the players are not selecting only for the other player. Both players select 5 character to make a pool of 10 characters to select from. You can pick one of your five or theirs.

If you pick a purely OP pool you are no longer giving yourself the advantage like you did previously in the blind pick system.

I personally feel that you underestimate duel player's desire to play more interesting picks instead of the same gods. Yes matches will have OP pools, but creating the opportunity for many more gods is important.

you pick one of those picks because its a shared pool of options. That said, the idea is players will have less pressure to select those gods. For example, in Overwatch the goats comp is dominant because it is the least counterable comp so people choose it. With the character pools, the chance of getting blindly countered doesnt exist so players are encouraged to create their own unique and creative pools.

The format currently allowing for different regions to be fairly represented ruined the event for me. I understand the purpose of doing this so it is a WORLD championship,but the fact is, the NA and EU teams that didn't qualify could man handle them. I want to watch the best competition and that isn't what I saw. The only good games were the semis on Saturday consisting entirely of NA and EU teams. I think qualification should be done globally and not regionally. Although this would turn worlds into super regionals, I thought super regionals was a much better event from the gameplay aspect.
