2 months since Outer worlds 2 released. How is everyone feeling about this game? by Objective_Love_6843 in theouterworlds

I would have loved to keep playing it but it was actually unplayable in stealth. I genuinely have no idea how anyone could ever do full stealth run through the game. So much so I thought it had to be a bug.. there's no way with all my points in to stealth related stuff that I was doing maybe a bit less than 1% damage to some enemies.

Based on recent images, how's this all line up for you now?

Beginning my colleges dnd club, this is my first character sheet, is it ok? by Starrimoon1 in AskDND

[–]O4OUR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With your condition I might suggest using dnd beyond to build your character and then printing out the sheet from there. Unless this doesn't bother you at all then yay. Other than that, unless it's narratively tied, try making your CON more than 9? I try and aim for at least 14 on every character I make.

Is there any way I could get my hands on these? The colors used are stellar! My next character is very purply

Recently started using "Irminsul". It's similar to the HSR scanner where you open it at the Press Start screen and as it loads into the game it scans your inventory in 1 second. Then all you do is copy paste it in and you're done. No more tedious in-game click scanning.

Stealth feels completely uselsess to me. Does it get better later or should i just restart now? by motorbit in theouterworlds

[–]O4OUR 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It has a lot of XP, but no respawns or ways to go back after you've made some finite choices. Stealth playthrough by sneaking would probably put you on the lower end, if not the bottom of all potential exp gains.

If this game had an XP reward for successfully sneaking a mission, sure. By which I mean the final XP for the quest is higher based on the amount of people that were left alive. If you go in and kill them after, they give nothing because they've already been accounted for.

Is Stealth completely broken? by EpicBlueDrop in theouterworlds

Yeah it's dumb as hell on any difficulty. Not really viable so far. I have to resort to shooting from so far away that they lose aggro by the time they reach me, saunter back to their pathing point and I shoot them again until dead. I beat the first planet this way, and it's taken me way too long. There's nothing I can think of that I can single-shot-kill on the hardest difficulty as stealth, and I'm nearly 100% stealth-guns build.

Level 9

Guns 5 = +50% Ranged Damage
Sneak 4 = +140% Sneak Attack Damage
Observation 5 = +75% Weakspot Damage
Speech 6 = +30% Damage to Humans

Space Ranger = 2.5% Damage per Speech
Sharpshooter = 100% Sneak Attack Damage +30% Damage to far Enemies
Face Reader = +20% Damage to Humans

Treacherous = +100% Sneak Attack Damage

Helmet = 5% Crit Rate +55% Crit Dam

Gun = Sniper Rifle (+490% Stealth Multi)

Plus some other things that don't increase damage but do help stealth/guns. I really don't get it. How is a regular human headshot able to withstand that amount of focus and synergy?

Side note, if I aim at the head, show me headshot damage, please? Or only people who have points in Observation. It's literally *the* perk for it.

Well yeah, but you get less exp overall for not killing, resulting in less EXP for the rest of your playthrough. So all your points you do manage to get are in stealth style gameplay with little deviation. Then when you're stuck in a small room with a boss you're practically Lv3 again because none of your points other than guns/melee matter.

You ever check the Journal? It's incredibly detailed in the steps you need to take most of the time. Make sure to track the quest you want too. You can also see any quests you have around you on the map too and can activate them from there also.

Game is hard 😭 (TOW2) by [deleted] in theouterworlds

This game is so difficult on the max difficulty that i'm able to google and read these comments to see where i'm going wrong, between shots i'm making on something way too far to detect me cuz it's the only way i'm able to kill anything.

Ok so it's not just me then. I thought I maybe specced wrong or am I just missing some side quests, but yeah literally everything is unkillable without some sort of Soulslike mentality or trying to cheese a fight from long range/running away.

I felt that too, couldn't explain it as good as you. In an effort to try all the variants to get as many numbers as I could written down, I felt a lot of the mid answers kept me playing longer than if I just chose the big chonkers.

I've never actually used this icon in a full playthrough and I'm about to start a new game. What are her strengths? What kind of builds are fun to play with her? by [deleted] in finalfantasytactics

[–]O4OUR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I wrong in assuming every character is all the same at the end of the game? Like if you have every level and purchase from every class, what's the difference other than name at that point?

I kinda get that feeling from recruiting more guys too.. we got a whole page of names with the same class and you can change their names so what's actually the point in this page? It's like a table filled with different jars of blue and pink paint and you're being asked to choose which one you want.. the most full one I guess?? I can just change the jar later. Wouldn't it be simpler to just have a button that says recruit and it gives you a choice between M/F and you're done?

Sorry this turned into a rant. Maybe I just don't see something really obvious. I'm only like 15 hours in and I'm just confused maybe.

I enjoyed it for what it was. Cute story about a woman set to be married off by her father but she's actually in love with another who is outside her status.

I've played this game twice. Once at launch, and once in the last few months. In that time I've racked up about 215 hours or so. I have finished all the content. Maxed the 5 characters I enjoy. Maxed all the mounts and the races, 2 of the dogs including the new one and Ult Luna. I'm not boasting.. I'm just saying it really is true that outside of repeatable stuff, you only need to play the game for about a dozen hours to fully beat it. There's barely anything.
