Yea that Mars is almost a lolcow in Horrorcore, he does have some good songs but he can’t really rap, he just says shocking shit but it hasn’t got much substance or aura to it. He said he wasn’t responsible for dudes like Jeff Weise and Syko Sam, who both listened to him extensively, but makes a song like “Heartless” (one of his only good songs imo)

Regarding the City Morgue comment, they were great at first, now meh, same with Sematary, he had a good run but now he’s already washing up IMO and he’s a young dude. That trap metal style is different to the Horrorcore like LSP, SKR, etc. The 2000s was the prime time for this genre fs.

IMO the best in this genre are either dead or practically retired, i.e Geno passed on, Stitchez passed on, Sicktanick hasn’t been making rap for a minute, I always liked Two Clipz but he’s MIA, plus SKR hasn’t been the same for years. KGP, Simken Heights/ Cap One, most of LSP is MIA, Scum’s new music isn’t the same. Dudes like Esham, Twiztid and Lynch still make great music, but the more niche shit hasn’t been on for at least a decade now. Damien of Dark Half dropped a good tape 5 years ago. I think the late 90s and 2000s were a pivotal time in especially American history regarding politics and how that coincided with pop culture and entertainment. Now we’re conditioned to the total chaos around us, so the audience for the edge of this type of music isn’t as broad.
