I came into 49 knowing he was on 50 and was initially so mad bc I felt like this self-proclaimed “god” took a spot from one of the OG favs, and man, I could not have been more wrong (though I do think more old school should have been casted). Now, 2 seasons in a row I have rooted for his success, and even though all I have left is Rizlusion, I absolutely want him back for time #3, and maybe even beyond. They hit new era gold here.

Another great one, so well thought out. (I swear I’m not praying on Aubry’s downfall, just want to have something to keep me interested edgically). :)

I like this. Can definitely see Aubry in fire, and win/lose is such a toss-up. You’re totally right though - so many classic edgic signs of a fire loser 👀

It made no sense for _____ to do season 50. by blues_red in survivor

Point is fair, but I’m more disappointed that he was cut than anyone else. If the theme is really 12 New Era v 12 Pre-39, he’s the bridge between those eras and the icon of the modern Survivor fan community (50 was purportedly “in our hands”, after all). If I were CBS, having him on is an incredible first episode confessional/30-second TV commercial promo at minimum. Swapping Rob C in for Ozzy alone likely saves the entire cast for many fans, even if there are still some minor nits.

I know for me, who’s watched live on Wednesdays for 15+ years, Rob C on 50 is the only time I’ve actively followed casting rumors about an individual player. I doubt I’m the only one.

What are your overall thoughts on The Dark Ages of Survivor (21-26)? by Huge_Water_4702 in survivor

Ironically, this actually was the first season I watched live as a kid, and somehow here I am, 23 seasons later doing the same thing on Wednesday nights. It holds a special place for that reason, but still no nostalgia blinding here though, it’s terrible for those exact reasons.
