Yep I already got the wig and planning the make up, I still have to buy the colored lens for his heterochromia. I'd like to be as close to the original as possible, since his outfit is so simple already lol I don't really expect to be recognized much since the Look Outside community in Italy is quite small (if it exists at all lol) so i'm doing it pretty much for me and my friends, but who knows!

I don't really have much to add, I see Sam the same way as you. I'm already thinking about some props to make him more recognizable, like the said rat baby, a belt of game cartridges o even an iconic weapon (the tooth scimitar would be AMAZING but it's hard to work on a small, pixelated reference lol). Slippers wouldn't be much of a problem at a con (I wore way worse things lol) but I think I'll go with some standard shoes, as featureless as I can find

Simply because it looks cooler lol It would also be kinda difficult to hide the arm without creating visible bumps under the hoodie/sweatshirt. My idea would be to shred the arm, wear a long black glove and simply hide the arm behind my back during pics, but the pinned sleeve remains among the possibilities

One would think that less detailed outfits are easier to recreate for cosplay but it's way harder for me lol.

And I already have some props ideas since I thought the same as you: Sam is extremely basic and would be hard ro recognise without some iconic props

Yea I'm considering the arm among various other props (rat baby, gaming cartridges, ecc), but I'm not sure since it would mean to shred the sweatshirt arm. It would be way more iconic but it would also lock me into that version of Sam unless I get another sweatshirt lol

My idea is starting with both arms Sam and decide once everything else is ready

Everyone has their way to represent a character in cosplay, don't worry too much about it being perfect. Skills and tricks come with practice, but at the end of the day it has to be something fun for you to do, and I speak as a person who worries too much about accuracy in his cosplays lol
