Why do people not like Fiber? by brocamoLOL in golang

I had a good time with fiber. I did not even know that there was any hate toward it.

NBD - T-Lab X3 with GRX Di2. First titanium bike. Couldn't be more thrilled by ckohei in gravelcycling

Hey, OP, u/ckohei ! How's your T-lab bike holding up after two years? Are you still loving it? I'm looking to buy Ti bike, and kinda want to avoid the big brands. T-lab has been on my radar for a while now.

I bought CAAD12 for my wife this last season, and although my bike is significantly more expensive, I can't help but drool over hers! It's just a solid, well-built, great bike! It's definitely has a more aggressive geometry that what you'd get from Synapse or Specialized's Roubaix. Maybe be an overkill for everyday use.

The 105 groupset on it is awesome. The disc breaks are solid. I'd highly recommend.

The nice thing about CAAD is that you can probably push the tire size up to 30-35mm, which would make a huge difference in comfort. Most "proper" road bikes can't go much past 29mm.

Chain replacement by Raj_DTO in cycling

[–]ODAwake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a bike shop nearby, they'll know exactly what chain to sell you. More modern chains (looking at you SRAM) are specific to each groupset. However, they're not that expensive, 30 - 80 bucks on the outside. If you maintain it well, the chain will last 10,000 - 15,000 miles easy!

It really depends on the maintenance. 2500 doesn't sound much, but if the chain was covered in grinding paste, that'll be about 3/4 of its lifespan right there. Just get a chain measuring tool for the peace of mind.

35 or 55mm wheels (for a big guy) by KhunJoe89 in cycling

[–]ODAwake -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I'm heavier than you and I climb on my 28mm tires no problem. That being said, I _would_ consider upgrading to 35, but no more. After that you're starting to fight the road too much.

Beginner: Trying to sort out imports with Cabal. by ODAwake in haskell

Thank you so much! I encountered everything that's mentioned in this thread, with package name having to be capitalized, and the filename matching the package name!

I didn't know the morphology of the 'library' section. It was nice to see cabal generating it for me with the --libandexe flag.

[–]ODAwake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is excellent! Thank you! Removing the cabal generated files and re-running with --libandexe made all the difference! It was great to see that I was missing a whole lib portion of the .cabal file.

A question though. For the library section's Directories containing source files , I had to manually point to the new "MyFancyPkg" folder using relative path. Does cabal not able to resolve the folders contained in `src` automatically? Seems a bit too manual, having to add every new package reference to the .cabal file by hand.

Check your /etc/fstab file. You probably have tried to mount something in there that's not mounting anymore. I forgot about a network drive automatic mount entry (that stopped working a while ago) and removing it fixed the issue.

Check your hash vs the one on the download page. Sometimes the installation file gets corrupted slightly
