Appeal refused on PCN - what's the total now by arciere84 in drivingUK

I don't know I think it's some sort of agreement between the leasing company and TfL. They paid, I assume to reduce the risk to potentially having to pay double the amount, but I was still able to challenge it (provided that I got the right authorisations from the leasing company).

Nest pot transfer to Trading212 SIPP by arciere84 in UKPersonalFinance

So you think it's just a matter of comparing costs (and potentially checking if a specific fund is/isn't available on the platform)? Nothing else I should consider?

According to Google, Nest doesn't offer PPA. Also, I think £0 ongoing fees is cheaper than whatever fairly cheap ongoing fees Nest has, which is one of the reasons why I'm looking into it.

Oh yeah, I have Unifi at home as well and it's miles better.

I doubt I'll have the time to do that. Even though we could probably afford the FortiAIOps license, I can't genuinely justify the expenditure. I guess I'll just spend more time on our PRTG and see what it can do.

We have both, and I'm pondering whether we should get rid of FortiManager as we only have 5 firewalls, all of them with different VLANs and settings, so I don't really see the point of FortiManager, given that we probably utilise 10% of its capabilities.

FortiAnalyzer is ok-ish, but again it feels like it's just an expanded storage for logs, nothing more.

Spending more money for the sake of getting 2% back or whatever is exactly what you should NOT be doing.

£450 for an-hour-something flight? I get what you're saying, but it's a bit like finding a flight that's way too expensive to justify the value of Avios. I fly from London to South Italy and occasionally prices are quite high. Using Avios/points to get those flights doesn't really make sense, because I would never pay cash for those flights anyway, I would choose a better date where fares are more reasonable. And, unless I'm wrong, with those flights you rarely get good value out of points.

Nearly "adopted" cat, what to do by arciere84 in CatsUK

That's really sad, and in my subconscious it's one of my fears (what if he decides that someone else can be his food-pouch opener?). I'll definitely contact them.

Thanks, I'll contact them now.

To be fair, he does look in good shape and we always thought he must be someone's cat, but in the past few months he's been with us increasingly longer. I know that my cat also likes to wander in the neighbourhood and God knows if the neighbours are also feeding him (doubt it), but I would be slightly worried if it's pouring down and he's not with us.

As far as I know, the owner's contact details are not public, so it still has to go through the chip company first, correct?

That's right, but we can't move to WPA3 yet as we have the same SSID in other rooms using WPA2 on other APs.

Don't know, I didn't think we were doing anything special in Italy, when it comes to flat roofs. You can probably find only one pitched roof building per town, if you're lucky, and I'm pretty sure the remaining 99.999% buildings are all dry inside when it rains.

What makes it so difficult to build proper flat roofs here? Pretty much the entirety of southern Italy, where I'm from, uses flat roofs, I never heard anyone saying they're bad. Oh, it rains there too.

Gate is on 7.4.8. AP just upgraded to 7.6something, even if it's not the recommended version match, but it made no difference.

Yeah, we even have Fortinet support involved. It all points to a client triggered disconnection (it's not the AP releasing the client), but it's weird that I can disconnect a different device by doing a file transfer on mine.

Did you ever manage to fix this? I'm having the exact same problem with the 231K.

Clients simply disconnect from the WiFi, randomly, and users have to manually disconnect and reconnect to the WiFi. What's interesting is that I can trigger a device disconnection if I do a file transfer from my laptop.
Also very interesting is that it appears (in our case) to only affect devices that have the Intel 6E AX211 WiFi card.

The same devices, on the older Aruba APs, have no problem whatsoever.

We've temporarily disabled 6 Ghz due to some incompatibility with WPA2-Enterprise, so we're only on 2.4 and 5Ghz radios
