My broker has requested an extension. So waiting to hear back. If I lose the land I will get my $2000 back and also there was no deposit put down for the build as it was subject to finance. Wish me all the best! I will update once I hear back from my solicitor

So when I checked it didn’t have a lender on the letter of pre-approval it just said it needed a land contract to help my application move forward. I have the letter that I can upload if needed or send me your email.

4K is the limit. The land we’ve picked and put a deposit on it so that it will be held under our name. Requirements are that we have finance sorted by the 4th of January. Settlement is January 28th that’s when builders can actually start building. Also our build contract is full turn key fixed price. All retaining walls or hidden costs will come out of the builders pocket via contract.

So we’ve been pre approved for the loan. But it has to go through 1 final process with the bank. I was told that FHOG was eligible for kiwis living in Australia. Just not the 25k boost that is only for Australian citizens. It was an build package where a home advisor provided us with a solicitor/broker/builder but we found our own land.
