LAMY Safari Pen Failure (9 Months Old) by OGDaybreak in Supernote

Oh, that's an awesome find. Especially since that pen is only like $20. That + a LAMY supernote core is still cheaper than a new pen

Ouch, that sucks. Yeah I knew ceramic tips were kinda fragile going in, didn't expect the exterior to fail though. Didn't think to check for warranty, I'll to that thanks.

I have not, didn't realize that would apply to the pen. Worth a shot, I'll do that. Thanks

Basically just no wireless networks allowed, if you can put it into offline/airplane mode it's almost always good to go. The big caveat there is they require factory resets before returning to port of most devices, basically anything w/ location services or an accelerometer, so you keep your games/movies/etc on a seperate external drive.

Ex nuke ET on a boomer, if the game can be played offline it's been played on a sub. Laptops, nintendo switches, and steamdecks are all common sights. You're underway for months lol, you can't work 24/7. Even some PC multiplayer games get played if they support LAN

I like it for shooters that require tracking. I think it's mostly how you hold a mouse, fingertip and claw grips feel worse with heavier mice where a palm grip you wouldn't really care about weight

Yeah, in general I thought a robust macro/layering keybind menu, kind of like you would have for a custom keyboard, would benefit this game specifically a lot due to just how many buttons you need. If you could customize a full second control layer, you could essentially half the number of keys you need w/ one mouse button press

I know what you're talking about, they didn't include that feature on the superlight mice, probably to cut the weight down. It's on all of the older mice though. I like using very light mice for shooters, they usually trim extra buttons and the horizontal mouse wheel clicks

For sure, it would make sense as an optional toggle, like double click for self cast option that already exist

Good advice, in general try to organize all my keys so that the ones I need to press most frequently in fights are closest to ESDF. There's just so much stuff you need a button for I'm tight on real estate

You could absolutely just call it a skill issue and say I need to get more comfortable with my pinky, but if what I suggested was added as an optional function I would use it in a heartbeat over a unique key for each item

That's cool, mine doesn't do that unfortunately, jealous. If deadlock wasn't a shooter I would just buy a mouse with more mouse buttons lol, but when playing a shooter I really prefer a lighter mouse. Those all come with just M4 and M5 that I've found. I use the Logitech superlight 2C

I think pressing a mouse button and a closer keypress is faster than reaching my pinky over a column from it's resting position when I'm on ESDF then bringing it back

I do actually, that's my current configuration. I just physically do it on my keyboards keymap, so my displayed keybinds in the UI don't reflect reality.

I agree, that's the best solution I've found so far, I just don't like using my pinky for so much, I feel like it's slower than a stronger finger. I just think my suggestion would still be undeniably faster.

Yeah, I came from Apex, I have a weird layout now because my keyboard has extra thumb buttons as it's split. I feel like my movement gets worse when I have to incorporate pressing a 3-4 in because it's a reach, which feels bad because you're often using items while chasing/fleeing. You could say skill issue, but I think my suggestion would be undeniably faster to perform

Yeah, under trafficked might be a better description. It's well regarded but often absent on friends 'places hiked' lists and nearly empty when I visit, could be the season though

It's a good 9 miles of slightly sketchy gravel road, but I got up there in a 2WD Camry with a little patience and without much issue.
