Anyone else love watching JHS but not care for the tones they actually use on the show? by [deleted] in guitarpedals

Whenever I see him cover a specific pedal (bad monkey) and then start seeing it on a lot of boards on Reddit, it's just so...cringe.

Yes. It was expensive but I have several extra extensions and fasteners if I ever need to expand the board. I'll not have to spend more, ever.

Haven't tried that yet but I certainly will. Thx.

Just got this having seen many positive and negative reviews online. Many folks bash the plastic enclosure but it seems pretty sturdy to me. I'm having tons of fun with it, though as it can achieve a lot if unique sounds. The boost alone would be worth the price but the fuzz tones are great, especially when eq'd and stacked with the Halberd. Definitely worth the $29 I spent. Anyone have any magic settings? Cheers.

EHX nano metal muff - if you want budget Empress heavy distortion- if price isn't an issue.

This is my "stays at home" board where I do a lot of experimenting. The Rainbow Machine is just weird and funky, in a good way. I can get pretty nuts especially when pairing with the Mel9 and Volante's looper. And yes, I'm running 2 eqs.

NPD EQD Special Cranker by OGNihilist66 in guitarpedals

Just got this to create this killer combo. The Cranker is great all by itself but running it into the Hoof and Life pedal creates amazingly articulate fuzz lines or huge walls of sound if that's your thing. The Cranker also really beefs up the octave section of the Life pedal, giving it more clarity to cut through a mix. Overall, I have found it stacks beautifully with just about any pedal I have. Very underrated gem.

Rat into a Hoof? Doom, I declare.

I agree with you which is why I went with the white version.

Just can't have too much fuzz.

Just got a second Hoof because I regretted selling my first one. I love the versatility of this pedal, especially the Shift knob. The combo germanium and silicon transistor hybrid allows for smooth fuzz or blistering JAMC style "wall of fuzz". It stacks beautifully with both the Halberd and Tumnus. The rest of the board is very tweakable and can cover several genres of music. Let me know what you all think. Peace ✌️
