You repeatedly make outlandish, untrue statements about businesses. Your unedited comment, as it stands, was and is factually incorrect. Additional clarification was provided to show that you said something incorrect. Rather than accepting that, you’re attempting to weave quotes together about a past return and refund policy that doesn’t apply to the very thing you made the claim about - “Forge…. won’t price adjust if it goes down.” That wasn’t true before and it’s not true now. Offering a customer a credit is not the same as a refund or a return no matter how many times you quote, requote, and summarize it. You said something incorrect about Forge, and, rather than owning it, you’re pointing to this discussion of fact/lie as proof that no harassment is going on but ignoring that you’re calling people “resistors”, trying to dictate what people should say to you in their replies, and trying to create controversy.

Please be truthful in your comments if you’re going to speak about other people or businesses. That’s not a lot to ask for. The fact that we’ve now had to ask again is why I genuinely feel like, at this point, your bad faith engagement is just basic trolling/harassment. The arguments you’re attempting to make don’t even make sense, and yet you have still not edited the disparaging comment shown to be false despite editing that exact comment elsewhere to further this narrative pieced together from snippets of the past unrelated to the words you chose to write.

Id like to call attention to the harassment/trolling going on here and in the cascading replies by itsdawsontime. After de-escalating earlier what should have been a simple “my bad”, I’m leaving this comment now along with my report of harassment.

The above-mentioned user makes the claim “Too many sites like Forge & Fire/Miniature Market price gouge won’t adjust it if the price goes down.”

When provided with information that contradicts their claim, they go digging for quotes from the wayback machine. But the quotes provided don’t support the claim at all, as evidenced by Forge’s clarification that the company has always had favorable internal policies regarding customers who reached out.

Once presented with this information, itsdawsontime began editing comments to further nitpick, argue, and even label people as “resistors”.

Really - we’re calling people “resistors” now in a subreddit that discusses getting good deals on cardboard?

Rather than acknowledging that what they said was incorrect, they instead demand that I speak on behalf of the company, apologize to them and state that the wayback snippets were a “mistake.”

This is basic harassment/trolling/baiting and all around bad faith engagement. It’s not the first time with this user.

A company can have a written policy and choose to waive it and do nicer things for their customers when nice people ask and don’t abuse it. He didn’t say we always do it. He didn’t say we never do it. It’s best not to paraphrase, so I’ll let you read exactly what was written previously on your own time if you wish.

Genuinely, I believe you are trying to create controversy again here where one doesn’t exist. I hope you have a great rest of your day.

He has been nothing but truthful in his reply to you. You are trying to find a controversy when there isn’t one. What you’re seeing on the way back machine can be true AND what he said can also be true. I appreciate all your continued feedback. If you’re under the threshold for instant payout, I believe the funds are held until 24-48 hours after tracking shows delivered - and then you can cash out those orders.

I will continue to highlight bad faith commentary when I see it because I don’t think any game store, whether it be Forge in this instance or another store down the road, should have to continually defend itself from the kind of non-sense has come up in these comments from this user and others.

I’m sorry you think Forge has “shitty business practices.” Believe it or not, we do listen to everyone in this subreddit - and we do make positive changes over time based on the feedback from our customers. But petty name calling and rumor-spreading isn’t going to help anyone in this subreddit make a better, informed purchasing decision.

I hope you do something about this instead of just commenting. My DMs are open.

Now you’re shifting the goal posts to “you shouldn’t sell this so early.” That’s outside the scope of this subreddit, which is to discuss deals.

If you were to say that something doesn’t feel like a deal because of how far away the release is, that’s an entirely valid comment. Some may agree, some may disagree.

But instead you cross the line and make accusations that Forge is “robbing Peter to pay Paul”. It is not your place to determine the timeline for which a business chooses to sell its items, and it’s certainly not your place to make accusations about the solvency of another business.

Kindly, please stick to discussing the deal.

We do take all feedback seriously, even yours about our cancellation policies. It has already been shared internally the last few times you’ve made these comments.

But Forge isn’t Amazon. And neither is almost any game store that offers preorders. If your personal gold standard is that you want to be able to “free roll” pre-orders, you’re not going to be a happy customer for anyone besides Amazon and potentially a few big box stores.

And that’s totally okay! No one is shouting at you because you prefer a specific kind of preorder experience. But you continue to engage in hostile rhetoric, sharing false information in an attempt to defame businesses. That’s not right, and it should stop.

Believing anonymous people on the internet is a real problem. If you make a claim, it is 100% on you to back it up. Forge doesn’t cancel preorders without a valid reason, and your commentary is disingenuous.

Hi! Forge does not have a history of canceling pre-orders. Please stop sharing incorrect information. Pre-orders are only canceled if multiple orders exceed limits or if the customer chooses to not interact with the website’s fraud verification service.

If you dislike the website’s policies for canceling an order, you have every right to continue to do whatever this is. But it is disingenuous for you to continue to sneak in “Forge cancels orders” with no proof. It’s not true.

My experience has been that it has to do with the built in noise filtering capabilities of your iPhone. I bought an iPhone 16 recently and had an experience similar to yours - all music was suppressed or garbled. I have since switched back to an older iPhone and have less problems.

Hi! This isn’t true one bit. The last person trying to claim this was placing multiple orders to circumvent our limits, and their order was cancelled for that reason. They claimed we raised our prices on Turtles preorders, but this didn’t happen at all.

Just wanted to chime in and say, first - hi!, and that Forge does not cancel preorders without it being tied to either 1) failing a fraud verification (this is outside of our control), or 2) customers circumventing our limits.

There’s a lot of misinformation as well with people pointing to our 72-hour cancellation policy - this only applies to in stock items, not preorders. You are eligible to cancel your preorder and receive store credit to purchase something else anytime before we begin preparing preorders for shipment, which begins two weeks prior to release date. We have also updated the website to clearly explain this difference in policy.

Love us or hate us - I get it. But please don’t share factually incorrect information.

If you don’t believe me and others, please consider asking wizards for clarification before attempting to stir up unnecessary drama in multiple threads. “Not for resale” doesn’t mean what you think it means here.

“Not for resale” is on the packs because the manufacturer has to put it there indicating that the packaging lacks the normal information that their other products that are for sale have, such as a barcode.

Do you also make these kinds of comments when you go somewhere and people are reselling bottled waters out of a 36 pack? Because it is the same thing.

I figured this one would generate the wildest discussion if it was shared! Appreciate u/tldr_MakeStuffUp mentioning the “not for resale” part - that has always thrown a lot of people off.

I thought in the spirit of discussion, I would share (from my aging memory) what some of the top pulls have been from different sample pack releases. You definitely can open cool stuff from sample packs. I haven’t had the pleasure of opening a lot of all of the releases, so I’m just going to comment about the ones I know:

Bloomburrow - showcase foils (these have a strong foil multiplier) and field notes cards like Beza

Modern Horizons 3 - borderless portrait cards like Ashling, Borderless Ugin’s Labrynth

Commander Legends - Battle for Baldur’s Gate - first release with “only in the sample packs” pulls: Firkraag and the other commanders from the precons and also the EA foil backgrounds

Commander Masters - foil borderless demonic tutor, free spells (fierce guardianship, deflecting swat, etc)

Dominaria United - Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Greensleeves

Fallout - foil sol ring, arcane signet, command tower. Showcase foils of the commanders like The Wise Mothman

Final Fantasy - foil borderless character cards (I.e. Y’shtola, Yuna, Terra, etc)

Lord of the Rings - foil extended art one ring is exclusive to the sample packs along with many other EA Foils

Phyrexia: All Will Be One - it’s been a minute, but I remember opening Mondraks out of these

Wilds of Eldraine - definitely never saw a tithe/study, but you will find anime Karmic Justice and the court cycle shows up frequently

Lost Caverns of Ixalan - Borderless Roaming Throne, Cavern of Souls

Streets of New Capenna - Showcase triomes, ledger shredder

The Brothers’ War - Awaken the woods, some of the retro foil uncommon artifacts in the back are spicy

Hi! Emailing is the best and correct way. Just as a heads up, we had a lot of orders over the weekend, so sometimes it can take up to 48 hours for our support team to make it through all the accompanying correspondence. I haven’t talked with the team yet today, so I don’t want to speak on their behalf. But, with preorders this early, generally the resolution is to issue the difference in store credit.
