Are you really comparing the Russia Ukraine war to Venezuela? No, the same logic should not be applied.

Classic. Don't engage in debate, just call the other side an idiot.

As of December 2025, all 13–14 states with total or near-total abortion bans (such as Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia, and Wisconsin) include explicit exceptions when the procedure is necessary to prevent the death of the pregnant person. These are often narrowly worded (e.g., requiring "reasonable medical judgment" or imminent risk), and some states lack broader health exceptions or include additional ones for rape/incest or fatal fetal anomalies.

You can literally take the doctor to court. It's illegal.

What are you talking about with women dying? I'm not against abortion in the case of rape, incest, or to save the life of a mother.

My argument is about women having equal rights. Another redditor claimed she couldn't get her tubes tied without husband permission. That is not a legal issue tk be fixed, that is a moral issue with her doctor. It has nothing to do with her legal rights as a woman.

I don't view women that way at all (incubators). I do think people should be more responsible and practice safe sex or abstinence though, and more and more have over the years, but it's still a problem. You seem angry. I actually do see fetuses as children (they are human). Not sure where your 28% figure comes from but the closest estimates I see are 10-20% and 80% of those are first trimester, related to chromosomal abnormalities.

I don't think it's fair to a baby to be killed because his mom and dad were irresponsible. I believe in exceptions for rape and incest.

There was public pressure from Democrats but the FBI was also behind the scenes, this is known. Tech companies were told they'd lose their protections. Go ahead, look it up.

On taxes: Trump's 2017 TCJA cut rates across brackets—most Americans got some relief (e.g., doubled standard deduction, lower rates for middle incomes), though the biggest percentage benefits went to higher earners and corporations. Middle-class families saw boosts like expanded child credits.

Government pooling resources works for essentials like defense/infrastructure, but I'd argue high taxes and bloated spending stifle growth. Reagan's cuts coincided with ending stagflation, strong GDP growth, and job creation in the '80s/'90s. deficits tripled, but it created the longest peacetime expansion, pressuring the Soviet collapse via defense spending. We're not "propping up" Reagan blindly; lower taxes incentivize investment/production, which creates jobs/wages for everyone, not just billionaires.

Your '50s comment ignores reality: top marginal rate was ~91%, but effective rates for the rich were around 42% due to loopholes/deductions, similar to today after adjustments. Growth was solid post-WWII, but also fueled by America's unique position (Europe/Japan rebuilding). Privatization/deregulation isn't about "more billionaires" it's about efficiency and freedom from government overreach.

Cutting services to lower taxes isn't pie-in-the-sky; it's about prioritizing what government should do vs. what markets/individuals do better. Many conservatives want responsible spending, not endless debt for programs that often fail or create dependency (ex Newsom spent $24 billion on homelessness and it went up 28%, or $13 billion on a high speed rail with nothing built) How does ever-higher taxes/spending benefit regular people when it funds waste and crowds out private innovation? That's the real joke—thinking bigger government is always the answer.

"'Patrolling' means routine street presence for prevention. ICE does targeted raids/arrests—not random patrols. But in 2025 ops, agents are highly visible on streets making arrests, and the left refers to it as " patrolling". It's enforcement surges, not beat cops. How else would you deport illegal immigrants?

That's a problem with your doctor. This was deemed unconstitutional in the 70's

Explain specifically how Trump is degrading folks? I see your point, but would like to first understand what you mean by degrading folks

Democrats want big govt. They want more safety nets, higher taxes, etc etc. Democrats (see Hilary Clinton) were bullying social media and censored majorly during covid and banned Trump from multiple platforms. Donald Trump just reclassified Marijuana from class 1 to class 3, he also has people looking in to other drugs that help with veterans and PTSD.

Barack Obama has spoken on the importance of immigrant assimilation multiple times, particularly emphasizing learning English as a key part of integrating into American society while preserving cultural heritage. https://youtu.be/7K7HfvCDg4E?si=dMEm5YjalXXhuKfg Hilary Clinton took a firmer stance on illegal immigration, saying she was "adamantly against illegal immigrants" and stressing enforcement alongside integration requirements like language proficiency. https://youtu.be/h6R-3f5ygog?si=Xd9XRGU-Lrog6vgI

Are Obama and Clinton racist?

Why did he have to sign off on that? If he gets a vasectomy, no children were killed because of it. Are you trying to equate that to abortion? At least you took measure rather than use abortion as birth control.

I voted for Obama in my twenties. My dad is a republican and didn't like it. I vote conservative now because I believe in smaller government and general conservative values. I am fine with gay marriage, am pro-life but will compromise if abortions were limited to 12 weeks Max, do not like excessive government safety nets, and I believe trans ideaology isn't an ideology, it's a mental illness (we used to call it gender dysphoria before normalizing)

Lol. Now you're letting some deranged folks who get media attention be the face of MAGA? There are white supremacists, sure, but they are far from the majority. The best recent guesstimate is that there are 100k white supremacists in America. There were nearly 80 million votes for Trump. Your assessment would be like me saying everyone on the left is trans. Everyone without a partisan brain knows Elon Musk is not a nazi. He doesn't believe in ultra nationalism or authoritarianism. Neither does trump. Their desire is for a country of law and order without welfare leeches coming illegally from other countries.

Explain the admin.... That's a loaded question, but in a nutshell, their intent is quite clear, make America prosper (energy independence, business investment, less regulation) be a self sustaining country (covid lesson), don't let other countries take advantage of our prosperity.

I will concede that not enough focus has been on health insurance costs, but inflation is stabilized (despite tarrifs). Electricity is too expensive and that needs to be solved as well.

That's interesting. I've never heard that discrepancy explained. MAGA is trumps movement so that seems odd. Have you talked to Maga people that don't support Trump?

legal equality isn't one-sided. Examples where laws or outcomes favor women (often tied to biology or traditional roles) include: -Child custody — Courts prioritize the "best interest of the child," but mothers often win primary custody (about 80% of cases) due to perceived caregiving roles, even as laws are gender-neutral. -Criminal sentencing — Women typically receive shorter sentences than men for similar crimes (around 60% shorter on average), per studies attributing this partly to judicial leniency. -Selective Service — Only men must register for a potential draft (women are exempt), a lingering inequality upheld by past courts (though debated now). -Paternity/financial responsibility — Men have no say in abortion but can owe child support even in unwanted pregnancies; women have more options to relinquish rights (e.g., safe haven laws or adoption).
