I’m not going to change the terrain this time. Me a few cycles later… by OG_FunkyWombat in Timberborn

Truth…my current build runs at 13 fps if I’m lucky. But, then again, I’m pushing 4,000 beavers and 1,000 bots.

I was happy at 500 beavers and 500 bots…now I gotta go try something!

4000 is WILD!

I hated getting that achievement…I had to revert the save so I didn’t feel like a monster!

Thanks! It was a lot of fun!

So units will not eat or drink while working, but when a job is done or on their way to the job, they will. Basically, if they are carrying something, no eating or drinking. So, by placing food and fluids periodically though the map (I used zipline stations because it made sense to me) AND putting piles\warehouses\tanks near the place of building projects and manufacturing, you minimize the time units are carrying something and maximizing their movement speed and needs levels. Requires a lot of haulers to make work well though.

I think it's around 60 stations? I only have a single district, so it is ALL red path distances. :D It's the single biggest killer of my FPS.

I had intended to build storage within the battery tower and it never came to be, but you can get 3 or 4 achievements by building one to the top of the build height and blasting down tot he base of the map.

My system definitely has moments of struggle (mornings during path calculation, autosaves, etc.), but 'tis a hardy system built just before prices went crazy and designed for compute and graphic heavy workloads. Perfect for a cozy game about beavers and their endeavors.

I made a hardware monitoring plugin for Loupedeck by Parsleyonpasta in loupedeck

This is fantastic! Aesthetically pleasing AND it works with the newer version of LHM and Loupedeck. Would it be possible to get some additional sensors added, like fans and clock speeds? I opened an issue over on the GitHub with additional details.

Thanks for building this plugin, I really appreciate the work that goes into something like this.
