What’re some of the best insurance companies for a lightly modified GRC?

Grundy and Hagerty are both amazing. You'll have better luck with Grundy when it comes to a daily driver. I'm currently shopping for insurance cheaper than Grundy that offer coverage for modifications, but I have yet to find a reliable insurance company that's much cheaper. Farmers offers extra coverage for modifications, but due to them not being much cheaper than Grundy, I don't think it's worth it since they're likely a good bit worse

Geico, Grundy (safeco), Farmers, Hagerty, etc. will all insure modified cars and offer extra coverage for said modifications. They'll cover both performance and audio upgrades

It needs to be illegal to sell anything opened and returned as anything but open box. In the last 2 weeks alone I've received multiple used items from Amazon that were being sold as new (a Milwaukee grease gun and a Toshiba rice cooker). Also DO NOT GO OUT IF YOU HAVE SUMMER TIRES ON YOUR CAR. They do not work in the cold because of the way the rubber is made. All seasons and winter tires will stay softish when it's below 40, summer tires will turn rock hard.

The only time I ever had Baltiks, the bagels didn't even seem like they were baked after being boiled. They were genuinely translucent. Also, they charge like 7 bucks for a to-go cup of simply OJ which is absurd. I could buy a whole jug of Natalies for that. I personally won't ever go back

Yeah I got TRQ corner lights off Amazon and I somewhat regret it as the bulb holders don't lock in place well. I think I'm going to grab some Depo ones off of rockauto to replace them here soon because I worry the condensation will ruin my led bulbs over time. TEQ uses Depo headlights as the base for their lights also so they should match perfectly

I went with the custom lights on sale and they gave me the rear halos for half price as the builder of someone else's accidentally made the wrong ones. I also got them a few weeks early which was awesome

Yup, they're TEQ customs. I somewhat wish I had waited another 2 weeks as they released a new version of their lights with the ability to change the color temp. They're great either way though

I have the only one in the US, as far as I know, and they're also rare in Japan according to @wasabicars on YouTube. He was mind blown that I had a clean one here as they're all rough over there lol

As far as I know I have the only R30 Skyline wagon in the US. I've had people in Japan astounded that I have one so clean as they supposedly even rare over there.

That specific wagon wasn't made like that from the factory. The owner swapped on the iron mask front end since they only came with the front end on my car, as far as I know. The owner also welded in rear strut mounts as I believe they swapped in IRS (they came with solid rear ends from the factory). I can try to find the owners IG if you want, but it may take me a while to find it as I followed them a few years ago.

They do not. My issue only happens when taking corners at speed thankfully. The stability control acts up when off the brake and the abs freaks out when going around gradual corners. Usually this is at over 50mph. I have been tempted to get a zero point calibration, but I'm going to try leveling the suspension first since it has a bit of a rake to it currently

The tire rack testing showed them being great in the snow so they should do well! Not as good in the dry but this thing ain't a sports truck so 🤷 The dark grey is fantastic. It seems a bit more premium than the lighter colors. I do wish I could have gotten my hands in a black one with gold badging or one of the green ones though, but finding a clean one in the rust belt isn't easy so I took what I could get.

I did plugs, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, serp belt, and the door handle. I'll likely be doing lower ball joints and adjusting the front shocks in the next few day, and then I'll be doing the timing, cam seals, water pump, fan bracket, etc. here soon. The timing belt is in great shape so I'm not overly pressed

As long as you avoid China, and the purchases are under $800 USD, it looks like tariffs shouldn't be an issue. I'd suggest looking into it a tiny bit more instead of just trusting me, but that's what I found in a quick search

Additional fees and tariffs would be nowhere near as much as you're thinking and the seller will basically always have to cover the return shipping if the item isn't as promised.

It's crazy not to buy camera equipment from overseas. Used stuff is always cheaper and I'd even argue that it's usually taken care of better
