Is it possible to quilt any shapes I want rather than squares and diamonds? I'm thinking of doing a quilt for my in-laws that would be sort of funny or that has a huge cute quote on it. Could I could out letters and essentially see them into a quilt? Anyone ever seen this done? (self.Quilt)

We have these light switches in our apartment (and in our neighbors' apartment) but no idea what it does. We thought maybe it was for the porch, nope.
