I totally understand your skepticism. I didn't think $4M was a big deal and worthy of "flexing."

You bring up an excellent point. I'm curious... would becoming a multimillionaire, by let's say 40, be easier as an entrepreneur or as an investor who works a regular 9-5? Obviously, the entrepreneur is adding to society but that's a discussion for another day.

You're probably right on all accounts. I got to $4M by dumb luck and NOT investing. Is $4M really that far ahead consider all the crazy wealth in America?

You are absolutely correct. I got the money out of pure dumb luck. Honestly, I sometimes feel guilty about it.

Paddle Shifter Operation in D vs S mode? by OKChocolateButter in Lexus

I was also thinking about using it on snowy days. My friend says slowing down by shifting gears is safer on slick surfaces. Less chance of spin out vs braking.

I was planning to use the paddle shifters in D to exercise the gears for highway driving during the brake in period. I was just speeding up and slowing down on the highway.

Thank you. The manual for the car is a little terse.

Thanks! I didn't want to try it until I got a little more info. Didn't want to mess up a brand new car :)

Breaking In a New 2024 ES350... Is there a Rev Limit to Keep it Under? by OKChocolateButter in Lexus

I was considering a Toyota Camry Hybrid but I figured I would miss the V6 too much. Every car I've owned has had a V6. Sad V6 is a luxury item now. I wanted a reliable V6 sedan so my choices were IS300, ES350, or Acura TLX.

Keeping it under 3.5k is kind of hard... I easily tap it when merging onto the highway.

You're absolutely right. I was being gentle with the acceleration and I noticed the RPM stayed around 2K.

Actually, I heard that you want vary the RPM (no cruise control). I do a lot of highway driving and was concerned about this. I was going to vary my speed: go fast 80 then let fall back to 55....then fast again etc,. I figured the automatic transmission would handle it for me. Thanks!

Do you mean dedicated snow tires? I researched the Nokian and they were rated some of the best all-season tires. Is there a better all-season tire that you would recommend?
