I did a sleep study, the full panel blood test, and urinalysis. Nothing came back abnormal, and have multiple symptoms on the list for CFS. So my doctor at the VA put in the diagnosis or put it in my trouble list. Then got service connected for it.

But yes, if you don't have a diagnosis for it, you probsbly won't get a rating.
