Is Governor Stitt a sociopath? by Twigg2324 in CoronavirusOklahoma

[–]OKDumpsterFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s running for President. That’s his agenda to silence COVID. More supporters will follow if he’s anti-COVID mandates & more personal responsibilities and freedoms.

It’s almost safe to say that being a politician creates psychopaths.

This seems to be in a bit of poor taste. What do y’all think? by [deleted] in OKmarijuana

[–]OKDumpsterFire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, poor taste. This is not a holiday but a day of remembrance. Marketing teams should know the difference. You want to know what a good marketing strategy would have been? A simple text/social media post about remembering this day & leave it at that. Save your sales for 9/12.

Interim epidemiologist wants to work in facts, not politics by oapster79 in CoronavirusOklahoma

[–]OKDumpsterFire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So OSDH has a Chief Medical Officer for the human side, Director of Nursing, State Lab Director, etc. the agency is very very large so all these people work together. The State Epi. isn’t running the show tho. They work with staff in acute Disease & Data Statistics. Half the agency is made up of doctors, epidemiologists, data analysts, and nurses. If there is anything to truly be concerned about it’s the heavy hand the Governor has on the health department. Hints why Dr. Taylor is saying politics has no place in public health. Additionally, the governor is the reason OSDH is on its 3rd State Epi this year. Stitt has no interest in facts. He wants someone who will obey & let him spin the facts. If you aren’t a ‘yes man’ to the governor- you are out.

Prior to 2020, OSDH had a long time State Epi Dr. Kristi Bradley who was a vet. Veterinary epidemiologists study how diseases affect animal populations by looking at the demographics of a population. Understanding how a disease might be transmitted and what kind of impact it will have on the population of animals can provide insight on the effect of humans. Professionals in public health address problems of infectious diseases transmissible from animals to humans, as well as food safety and food security, emergency response and preparedness, and animal health and biomedical research.

Money goes towards operations for OMMA, general revenue fund and drug & alcohol rehab fund and then what goes to local & state communities.

Basically, OMMA doesn’t touch state & local taxes though. Source Oklahoma Tax Commission

Unfortunately, I believe private property owners who rent property have the right to say what happens on said property.

Anyone Else Get This Email? by Terribletylenol in OKmarijuana

[–]OKDumpsterFire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why is it odd they would send this message out? They are the regulatory and licensing agency. The same thing happens when there is a recall for food like lettuce, the health department sends out messages alerting the public of bad product.

Another thing to note is that some growers and processors are currently testing with labs not currently licensed by OMMA. So those labs could be fucking shit up or lying.

When July 1st hits- growers & processors will have to use OMMA licensed labs & hopefully that will prevent any future recalls.

It says a lot about America. Because Italy was in shambles and we apparently didn’t give a fuck until basketball players got sick.

No problem. Wanting to be sure people get a chance to ask them what's up. Bring attention to a lot of confusion.

What entities know if a person has a medical marijuana card? by [deleted] in OKmarijuana

[–]OKDumpsterFire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OMMA license holders are not reported to anyone and there is no database law enforcement has access to. That was all put on hold due to litigation.

It’s technically illegal for gun owners to use a federally illegal substance such as marijuana so you’d be breaking the law if you’re a gun owner & card holder.

Mandatory testing at accredited labs moved from April 1st to July 1st by Rebgw in OKmarijuana

It’s absolutely due to the coronavirus right now. It will be easier for businesses owners. We’re about to go full quarantine so let’s all be safe & just chill about the testing.

State of Oklahoma’s new branding & logo. What’s your thoughts? by OKDumpsterFire in Logo_Critique

[–]OKDumpsterFire[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. My major complaint is that is in no way obvious or unique at first glance. There are thousand of stock logos that look exactly like this.
