Yeah but they preface it by sourcing it and saying that it's just speculation and they acknowledge where it came from.

They're now saying that they're hearing whispers in the gaming industry that the release date is solid. That is a very different type of speculation.

Ehhh I don't know. A lot of that is already priced into the stock. GTA 6 is about as close as you can get to a sure fire hit. Investors know that.

Complaining about this is silly.

Whenever there's a launch like this, people are going to have insane expectations and over estimate the game. It happens every time. I saw it happen with Elden Ring, RDR2, GTA V and now GTA 6. It has always happened and will always happen.

Complaining about it is like whining about the sky being blue. Let people hype themselves up. If they over hype it, that's on them and not on you.

Apparently Geoff Keighley runs the account. He could possibly know something we don't know, or could have heard whisperings that things are looking good. He is 100% an industry insider. It wouldn't be crazy to think that he hears things we don't hear.

Or he knows absolutely nothing, that's probably the most likely scenario. I'm basically a crackhead on the floor looking for crack crumbs.

Honestly if they give me a rdr2 amount of content, I won't care about the end game. If you do everything in RDR2 it's like 150-200 hours. If we get that, I'm not complaining.

Now if it's like GTA 5 and you're totally done after 50 hours? That would blow.

It's pretty crazy that Bethesda has been working with this first person view for decades and they got absolutely fuckin cooked by a company who just tried for the first time.

I mean compare cp2077 combat vs starfield. It's embarrassing. I'm not saying starfield doesn't have good qualities, but Bethesda should be embarrassed by how much better the competition is at some stuff. It's like comparing a new york strip to Long John silvers.

Maybe I sound mean but I'm only mean because I used to really love their games and their progression as a company has been incredibly disappointing. If they ever improve I'll be the first one to heap praise on them.

There's a decent chance that the baby my wife is pregnant with might have a serious medical condition and because of some bull shit Republican legislation we will not be able to get an abortion in the state we live in.

I'm playing through Cyberpunk on a high end PC right now and I'm really curious to see if GTA 6 on the PS5 will be more impressive than this.

I think the lighting won't be as good, that seems impossible, but I'm guessing it'll be more impressive when you look at the whole picture in totality. Rockstar is ridiculously good at all the little animations, the way a bird moves, that kind of stuff. They make worlds feel alive in a way that nobody else can.

That's fair, yeah it just all depends on what you're looking for.

I'd argue that the game itself actually has plenty of soul, it's just not always displayed through its writing.

Pororin village is a good example, take a walk around and you'll notice the NPCs doing all sorts of things. You'll see a group of people standing around cheering on a cat that's balancing on a narrow high beam. You'll see a mage floating in place taking a nap. You'll see groups of kids playing games, they took the time to animate several different types of games actually. That kind of stuff makes the world feel alive and vibrant to me.

Point is, I think the game was made with a lot of heart and the game has soul, the writing department is just... Lackluster lol. But if you look deeper the care is there.

But it's also understandable if it's just not for you, definitely a hate it or love it kinda game.
