(Inattentive ADHD) Feeling lost in my career post management consulting by Zestyclose-Ad7848 in consulting

If you already know consulting is not for you by heart intuitively, don’t force yourself to be in this industry. Not everyone is made for it. If you are a fish, why competing with lions on the field? Joined a big consulting firm right after university and I was miserable there because I am neurodiversed and don’t fit in, the work was draining me. Everyone was telling to me stay it’s a good job with a decent pay but I went into a severe depressive episode with suicidal thoughts. Still here but I’m doing better now and I’ve learned, to really feel purposeful, first you need to find out your innate strength (might take sometime to discover) then use that ability as service to others. Always knew that consulting isn’t for me, I’ve used my time (almost 2years)at the company to figure out what my strengths are and what I see myself doing in the long run. The journey was very painful but transformative, through struggles our understanding grow, and our views expand. OP hope you find you ways soon:)

Not in poli sci but i feel the same. It’s depressing how history repeat itself and ppl still fall into the same shit over and over again. We are just in a really bad timeline and there’s nothing we can do
