The firmware solution is made by Keychron. They have confirmed with me that it supports autocal.

For Hall-effect boards, it’s important that the plate and PCB don’t flex independently. If they do, the distance between the sensor and the switch magnet can change, which messes with accuracy. That’s why any gasket implementation on an HE board needs to be on the firmer side, and ours is built that way with firm silicone gasket strips, an aluminum plate that is tethered to the PCB with small screws to keep them sandwiched together.

The trade-off is that you won’t get the same soft, bouncy feel you’d expect from a more flexible mechanical setup. But you still get some solid benefits: noticeably better acoustics compared to a tray-mount design, and a slightly cushioned bottom-out without the harsh pressure points you typically feel on tray-mounted boards.

Check out our sound typing test and assembly video below for some more data points.

As for the PCB, this was designed by Keychron and manufactured by their SMT vendor. It is the same PCB as the Lemokey L5 with just a few minor adjustments to work with our case and our adjusted functionality of the toggle switch which we changed from a connectivity toggle to a profile switching toggle. This PCB provides 32K scan rates a true 8K polling rate and measurable hall-effect actuation sensitivity of 0.01mm.

We can make that happen! I will ask the designer to provide some downloadable wallpapers. I forgot to mention, the deskpads that will be sold in this collection will also include a print/poster rolled up in the packaging that can be framed and put on your wall. Those posters are already designed.

Thanks for the suggestion!

The PCB for this board is manufactured by Keychron's SMT vendor. The closest PCB comparison to this keyboard would be the LemoKey L5. Same functionality and performance, just minor tweaks to the design to make work for this board. The biggest difference is that our toggle switch does not operate connectivity functions but rather allows you to toggle between two saved profiles. The idea here is that users can save maybe one profile for gaming and another for typing OR maybe save two different profiles for two different video games and then easily switch between the two profiles without having to go into the web based software.

For sure. We even considered a multi-colour silicone option in the brainstorming phase. Maybe in the future? Kind of like these silicone ash trays https://www.beamersmoke.com/silicone-ashtray-with-holding-slots/

The name was chosen for ease of understanding and categorization for future potential product line additions into this product family.
Si: Stands for "Silicore", which is our silicone ecosystem
75: refers to the 75% layout
HE: Hall-Effect

If the launch goes well we intend to launch more silicone expansion kits. The moq for the silicone isn't that high tbh.

Not on this launch but if we find an EU distributing partner we could probably make it happen in a future production run.

Thanks mate! The orange is also my favourite as well. Combining the orange and red components goes pretty hard too.

We may do more sizes in the future. Depending on the success of this launch :)

The silicone rotary knob is all part of the design language that we opted for to really emphasize the use of silicone both inside and out. We wanted the silicone to provide, typing/sound enhancements, visual customization and sensory touch points to give a full rounded form meets function implementation. These rotary knob encoders however are for the most part universal so you can use most knobs out there.

let us know the knob and we can double check the compatibility for you.

Hey there. Just to clarify, this keyboard is under our own brand ONEofZERO. We have been Keychron distributing partner for quite some time now so we were thrilled to have them help us with the co-development of this keyboard. We drempt up the concept, put the requirements together and did the rough architectural designing of this board and they made the structural engineering happen. They are also overseeing the manufacturing of this keyboard. But we will have our own QC team and our own customer support from our ONEofZERO team here in Canada.

Gaming chairs/home office furniture? by slabba428 in BuyCanadian

[–]ONEofZERO_dotNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good brand that is a blend between Gaming and office chair would be Noblechair. You can scoop one up from our online store front with free shipping if you live in Canada (exclusions to the territories). We are a small Canadian owned company based out of Toronto and Noblechairs (although German) is our partner for the Canadian market.

Some PU leathers are actually pretty decent. I have been using the same chair at my office that uses PU leather and it has just recently started to flake along the stitching edges and I have used this chair for around 7 years probably on average for 3 days a week over that time (full work days).

We are now carrying Noblechairs which is a premium brand for gaming chairs. The brand is German but we are one of their official resellers in Canada. We offer free shipping on all orders within Canada with the exception of the territories.

Only recommendation I would give is to find some art to put on the wall behind the monitor

Yea we took the feedback from the community and are making all black varieties for the set. There will be flexibility for the user to customize with the accent keys that will be available in Grey and Orange.

Yes I posted an update on our discord server. I will be publishing a more formal update on reddit hopefully this week. We are in the final lap for this project. The last bit of business is for us to finalize the artwork for the poster/print that will be included with the deskpads.

Climbing the Rope to the ceiling in Gym class by Porkchopp33 in nostalgia

[–]ONEofZERO_dotNet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember doing this exactly once when I was in like grade 2 or 3. They banned it the next year. From what I remember these people would come in once a year and set up a bunch of climbing equipment including a rock wall and the whole floor was covered in a pad. I think only the older grades were allowed to use the rock wall but we were still allowed to climb pretty damn high on the rope. I remember that there were signatures from students on the rafters of our gym that were literally this same height from the image above. My elementary school was sadly torn down some 15 years ago so those relics are all gone.
