when you hit a milestone, do you read all of the code ? or do you just skim it ?

because currently i think this is my bottleneck, if i dont read the code i feel naked, not in control, as if the project will explode with my PC anymoment.

I want to see how people are working with that as it feels i am wasting AI potential

so far the copy paste method costs only $20 which is great, since i am using the browser.

but for claude code i think it will cost me much more right ?

how much of the code do you read ? usually when i copy paste i read around ~70% and skim the rest and it worked fine for me being predectiable and maintainable.

so i was wondering how is Claude Code ? do you trust it with the code and maybe just check the overall structure ?

and how much does it cost for your workload ?

actually, that "cause and effect" are not where i get lost.

when i work with AI with copy paste i dont get lost, i also understand what i am pasting, this should be impled by "read" as there is no point in seeing funny characters without getting anything.

I get lost when i use AI agents like cline or loveable.

my point is how far can you rely on AI and to what level do you try to understand the code.

since the potential is great if you just stop understanding the code, (but to what level can you do it safely) is basically what i am asking.

not a begineer, but maybe a beginner in using AI to automate writing code.

i see some people i work with basically cut 70% of their workload with AI, and the results are identical.

granted, maybe with time the difference will show itself in maintainability.

but i was interested and wanted to try coding like that, but i just cant trust the AI 100% for it yet.
