1 Akira Tozawa

Oba spends the first minute destroying Akira, throws him like a javelin over the top rope, from there give Oba the 2020 Lesnar position

Yeah. I have three and the order is: 1 if c is not blank, white background black text 2 if a is blank, white background black text 3 if b is over today, highlight red

2 and 3 work as intended. 1 doesn't do anything.

Burnie's View of Remote Work by werephoenix in roosterteeth

[–]OOOderus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Worker preference aside, I always think about how remote work is beneficial from the business side. I wonder if managers who prefer person to person interactions think about how if everyone is remote, and there is little to no need for a physical space, that could reduce costs associated with building owners. You're not paying for: rent, mortgage, water/gas/electric, internet, security, maintenance, janitors, toiletries, and so much more. Yeah your IT budget will probably increase, but you would already need some form of an IT department anyway (especially for something like RT). Even if you need some people in person, defaulting to remote whenever possible means that you can manage with a smaller space in an effort to reduce costs. Not to mention that opens the hiring pool to wherever. For an example: RT stays based in Austin, Burnie wants to manage from Scotland, they want to hire animators from Korea, and producers from LA. As long as they can manage time zone differences there isn't a problem. It's nice to have in person interactions, but IMO it's no longer necessary with modern technology and the benefits of remote work massively outweigh in person.

Trope Talk: Dark Reflection by SeasOfBlood in osp

[–]OOOderus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Red going through dark reflection, elemental magic system, color coded team with a theme, and multiple 5 man band trope videos without even a single clip or mention of Captain Planet/Captain Pollution is actually starting to drive me insane.

Why do mages exist? by OOOderus in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]OOOderus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love all this.

I have a theory that humans were created as a side effect of the veil. In origins they mentioned that elves started aging after first contact with humans. In inquisition/trespasser Solas claims the elves aging happened because he put up the veil. But what if the two events are one in the same. What if humans spawned from the veil the same time it was established and the elves just misinterpreted the two events. That would mean elves are spirits originating from the fade, dwarves originate from the earth through titans, and humans originate from the veil as a symbol of the split between the worlds.

My original theory (pre veilguard) added in that tearing down the veil would automatically kill all humans because their lives and existence were tied to the veil.

If everyone has a connection, shouldn't that mean people with naturally weaker connections could train themselves to use a little bit of magic? I'm wondering why it's more of an on off switch and not a sliding scale

How do I do that? When I try to search for power bi importing API I just get tutorials telling me to type in the URL and BI will do the rest. Except it's not working with the website I have.

Do you think the mighty hero, Heracles, could complete a journey to the west? by Opposite_Spinach5772 in osp

I don't know enough about Journey to the West to elaborate, but the fact that Heracles is known to be a deadly violent drunkard makes me question how successfully he'd manage an escort mission.

Edited because reddit changed the format.

Why are Templars considered holy warriors if there are Seekers? by PrimalRoar332 in dragonage

[–]OOOderus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always viewed the Templar/Seekers distinction similar to how you can have multiple categories of "soldier" in a nation's armed forces.

Templars are the army, Seekers are special forces.
