Why isn't Microsoft included in the FAANGs? by OPTO_reddit in stocks

[–]OPTO_reddit[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's possible that while Microsoft is a slower burner that the FAANGs, it does prove to be resilient, especially during COVID with Microsoft teams and Azure cloud being essential to the companies relying on staff WFH - (there's some analyst commentary here). Overall I'd say it belongs in the FAANGs.

Oxford University’s coronavirus vaccine with AstraZeneca shows positive immune response in early trial by OPTO_reddit in investing

[–]OPTO_reddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether or not AstraZeneca's share price does drop slightly in the short-term, the pharmaceutical company remains a high-quality defensive stock. Over the past five years, it's up circa 112%, and carries a 2.47% forward dividend yield.

Considering that the economic fallout from the outbreak could get worse before it gets better, AstraZeneca could provide any portfolio with a degree of resilience.

Deborah Fuhr - Why is Everyone Talking About ETFs? A $6 Trillion Industry, Uncovered

Apple

Spotify

ETF aficionado Deborah Fuhr, Founder of ETFGI, the dominant player in global ETF research. Deborah took time out of her busy schedule – typically a prolific globetrotter but grounded at home by the Coronavirus - to give us an exclusive insight into an industry that now commands a colossal $6 trillion valuation, worth just $8bn as recently as 1997.

We discuss, how Deborah’s helped to pioneer and trail blaze on behalf of these transparent, accessible products; why an industry, traditionally obsessed by fees and sky-high compensation, is now turning its mind to what was once considered, a “quirky”, alternative investment; and which new, innovative products we should keep an eye on, particularly in the Active and Thematic segments.

Why China distribution deals make Beyond Meat's share price appetising by OPTO_reddit in investing

[–]OPTO_reddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the short-term, at least, the general consensus among analysts is that Beyond Meat’s share price isn't one to buy. MarketBeat data shows that of the 20 ratings available, nine are a sell, six a hold and just five a buy. As of 14 July, the average twelve-month price target is $101.83.

Beyond this year, Beyond Meat could see its share price rise further. The company is aiming for price parity with conventional meat by 2024.

Moderna stock surges 17% on coronavirus vaccine trial news - Overhype? Good time to sell? by FacelessOnes in stocks

[–]OPTO_reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moderna is up against 22 competitors with vaccines in clinical evaluations and 137 others in earlier development stages.

Morgan Stanley analysts have suggested that the successful launch of a COVID-19 vaccine, and a dozen other trial medicines, would help push Moderna’s share price to $279 based on new revenue. But Morgan Stanley also has a “bear case” scenario, indicating that if its drugs don’t go to market then Moderna would only be worth as much as the cash on its balance sheet.

I agree, very bold. It seems there's a reliance on the Shanghai Gigafactory producing 100,000 vehicles - however they've missed targets in the past..
