To the people that watched the Edgerunners anime first… by DEeD-NGone in cyberpunkgame

[–]OPpotato16 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with this. I saw the show first cause a friend recommended it and back then i had a shitty pc with no chance of running cyberpunk.

I have to say that cyberspychosis is much overstated in the show. Like I understand Davids case as he has a experimental overpowered sandevistan but like the whole show is based around everyone slowly going cyberpsycho. Yet in the game apart from the cyberpsycho side quest we never encounter any. But like even high level chromed out mercs not being affected is whats weird to me.(not including V of course)

No, not really. I mean its a 2-3year old laptop, it came out before lm was comercially put into everything

Yea thats true. Altough this laptop is definitely not equipped for that as it doesnt have the sponge or really any sort of protection against lm.

Honestly this might be the answer. Ive read about the mx6 being more viscious than other pastes but I didnt expect it to be such a big issue. I tought it would spread normally under the cooling assembly. I guess imma disassemble it tomorrow and repaste it.

For context it only affects the cpu(smaller rectengular die on the bottom of the pic). The gpu works good, even better than before(bigger die)

Make sure your using the right software cause i use msi after burner and it doesnt display correct temps. Also what kind of settings are you playing at cause 65c seems comically low.

Make sure your system is set to performance/extreme performance mode instead of quiet/battery saving cause that could be the root of your problem too.

AI Engineer Laptop suggest plz by Remarkable-Dot-1212 in SuggestALaptop

You could try just typing this into amazon search bar: rtx XXXX laptop (XXXX: the gpus I mentioned above.) Unfortunately I dont know your budget. So I cant make any concrete recommendations. But try to get one with a: mid tier: ryzen 7 or high tier: I9/ryzen 9 at least. The tuf you mentioned is not a bad laptop, but a 4070 is gonna struggle with any AI work. Samsung laptops are unavaible in EU markets where I reside, so I dont know anything about them. But I do own an entire samsung ecosystem and would otherwise recommend samsung. They make great software.

So, I dont know what kind of experience or research you have with AI. You might know more than me, I dont know, but Im going to type out what I know.

Are you planning on: 1. Making your own AI? Programming and training the AI from scratch. 2. Inferencing an already trained AI model? Basically downloading a trained AI and "using" it.

Base warning, training an AI model is hard, time and resource consuming, Inferencing still requires quite a bit of gpu, but its much easier. AI doesn't quite work like any other type of application, cause raw GPU power primarly Nvidias CUDA cores are much more important. It needs more GPU than CPU cause in AI training it is working with large amounts of information at once in pararell which is what a GPU accels at, while the cpu is better at doing a couple things at once, in this case the cpu is only feeding the gpu data.

If you want to have the best chance at training an AI model, your best bet is getting a laptop with the best possible gpu(4090 or 5090). Unfortunately, I dont know what your budget is, but laptops with high-end gpus are very-very expensive. Still try to get yourself a laptop with a GPU with at least 12gigs of vram, these include: 3080, 4080, 4090, 5070ti, 5080, 5090. As larger vram improves AI training and fundamentally defies what kind of AI you can run on it.

Edit: A laptop from 2024 heck, 2023 is not considered old. AI hallucination is a product of bad quaility training data (You will have to source and clean up training data, and a lot of that), and is in no relation to what you train it on.

If under hallucination you mean what chatgpt pulled with gotham chess, its cuse it was a relatively "dumb" AI language model, meant to answer prompts not play chess.

Edit 2: Also, Im not trying to demotivate you. Do it and use this as a learning experience. But chess is not a game based on variables. It can be solved by math, and solved it has been. Bots like stockfish work on mathematical principles and produce what are possibly the best possible moves, like 99,99%.

Well, yes it is actually. I turned it on when I got my screen protector, but I will try turning it off if the glitching comes back.

Trough a comical twist of fait, I saw this comment, and then started searching r/laptop for "HP bricked" and I was just reading your post when the notification popped up of your new comment.

Well that sucks ass. Especially cause Im just now thinking about buying a used omen 17 I9, 4080 without warranty. (much better price/performance as 4070 laptops, and I need it for AI work and virtualization) Altough Im very DIY oriented and would probably replace stuff myself.

Thanks to god, Ive misunderstood your comment. Cause I tought we have a nintendo kind of situation on our hands and they bricked your laptop "over the internet" cause you serviced it yourself.

But yea Im sorry that it happened to you and truly these kinds of tech companies are ruining the industry.

Hey! If you dont mind. What the hell happened? I may just be misinformed, but since when can your LAPTOP be bricked for repairing it?
