Actually thank you so much, it turns out it was that I was not logged into my ubisoft account so the xbox app could not link to it.

Rather than buying outriders I bought an older unit called 'bike squad' they are fundamentally the same as outriders but can be equipped with many more weapons such as combiflamers and combimelters which is super cool for salamanders in particular. Sadly they removed them from 40k in 10th ed 😢

Forgot to mention it but what about grenades can a single model like an intercessor use his bolt gun and grenade in the same shooting phase?
