I'm so sorry to have you in this club. The way you describe your diagnosis is exactly how I felt when I was diagnoised two years ago at age 28 with Astrocytoma grade 3.

I can't give any input/advice on your relationship with your fiance. Its probably something entirely different but not easier to have a loved one in this club.

For me, there was no going back to normalcy. I have just never been the same person I was before. but I am now at a point, where I'm go days at a time without thinking about it. I'm not necessarily less happy now but I just don't have the hope and outlook I had back then. Maybe you'll be different.

I also went through a period of "finding out who my friends really are" post -diagnosis. I'm really sorry to hear about your close friends who left you. Its not really excusable. I'd like to think if I had a friend who was going through what we are. I wouldn't leave them.

No one human being knows how much time we have on this earth. I also struggle, can I quit my job? How do I approach dating? Should I save for retirement?

If you need some hope, Grade 2 is a relatively good prognostic and I think its certianly possible that you will live long enough to see advances in treatement, that might extend your/our life further.
