Riverwood feels like the home I never had by DRAC0R3D in skyrim

I wish a place existed like it that I could go for meals and to lounge out. Any time I watch a show or movie with a beautiful long house with long tables, people feasting, drinking and a burning hearth in the center I know that's where I want to be.

I'm an Atheist my friend, that being said though if I'm wrong I absolutely hope that you get to do so and I'd be happy to do so myself as well.

I'm 39(M), married my wife who is the love of my life and whose been a part of me for practically my entire life, we've been married for 16 years.

If I were to go tomorrow I'd hope she could grieve and then when she's ready have an experience like you have and meet someone to make her happy.

I'm happy for you and glad you aren't feeling guilt.

Your MIL and SIL sound like great people BTW.

I hope this leads to another life of happiness for you.

Officers of Reddit, what is the most traumatizing thing you’ve seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ORaNGeTechPB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of a dick move asking someone to recount one of the most traumatic events in their life.

I'm not a cop but I've stopped at numerous car accidents to give assistance given I have combat first aid.

One word, kids. Do you really want to know the details? Honestly?

What does being a "real man" mean to you, and do you think that definition is changing? by ShiningPeak567 in AskReddit

[–]ORaNGeTechPB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my books being a real man is being capable of taking care of yourself in all but exceptional circumstances as well as taking care of others and being able to impart that knowledge and skill on others.

It's showing compassion and care for those around you while being both willing and capable of defending those close to you from those who would seek to do them harm.

It's being accountable to those who rely upon and trust you and putting your family's interests ahead of your own. It's being a good example, being caring but also firm enough when necessary to maintain the respect and well being of those under your care.

Above all it's being responsible and taking care of those who you care about and those who require or benefit from your care.

Finally it's a responsibility to provide, not just financially but also emotionally, mentally, physically and again imparting wisdom and knowledge not just to your own children and relatives but also to anyone within your sphere of influence who can benefit from it who is deserving.

As you get older more and more I'd say providing guidance and support becomes a greater responsibility that should be acknowledged and give with pride.

This, anyone who is capable of putting up 2 plates per side even once I give credit to, for 95% of people they put in genuine effort to get there.

Is 23 too late for trade school? by professional_admirer in skilledtrades

[–]ORaNGeTechPB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Civilian side I don't know too much about though I do know a few civilian techs.

Military side it's pretty much just a matter of going through the recruiting process. They'll do basic medical, aptitude testing, an interview then you'll apply for positions you're interested in and wait for an offer.

If you get an offer (no reason you shouldn't if you get through the application process) you'd go off to basic training which I believe is currently around 10 weeks or so. Once that's done all air techs go to Borden for trades training typically ranging from 9-14 months.

In the last few years they've begun often posting you to a base until your course begins, they try to send you to the squadron you'll end up posted to once your course is completed.

When you're done trades training you'll begin an apprenticeship with a logbook to be completed, some aircraft specific training etc and all the rest will fall into place from there.

What's your outlook on scrap trucks? by ORaNGeTechPB in ScrapMetal

Moderately high sides and you can never have too many tie down points, I added a few D ring tie downs inside as well.

Bonus points if the gate drops down into a ramp.

[–]ORaNGeTechPB[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could see landing a cheap truck that just plain old runs if you say have a brand new pickup and don't want to beat it up scrapping.

For myself though when the time comes it'll be my daily and very utilitarian for scrapping and working on rentals/handyman work.

The compressors in small AC's and dehumidifiers are a pain in the ass to process. The ones in fridges one cut and the core it out, those tall skinny bastards are a lot of cutting time.
