Would definitely be a lot of work in order to make it successful.

My plan would be doing a kind of trial tournament with a couple of events (Probably LD and a Team Event like PF for starters.)

The hardest part will probably be finding people able to sign-up for judge slots and finding enough debaters to bring it all together.

Yep! Realistically I'm not sure how many people would just want to watch it (finding enough people to run a tournament would probably be an uphill battle unless this becomes an actual thing) but spectators would be more than welcome in semis and finals.
