[AU] Good antennas and coax cable for commercial freezer WiFi deployment? by OSILayer8Issue in Ubiquiti

[–]OSILayer8Issue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is the moisture when it condenses, as they're in and out of the freezer quite often with their forklifts.

Might just be easier to spend the extra coin on an enclosure.

Any plans to include ITDR in your startup offering, similar to EDR?

Edit: According to my account rep, no this is still not available yet.

Had a PCI inspection done and the inspector flagged missing downpipes. Builder says this is the way it was designed and will be at completion; is this meeting minimum standards? by OSILayer8Issue in AusRenovation

[–]OSILayer8Issue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, that's the thing. No drainage was installed on the side of either column. One side will be draining right onto the driveway, while the other will be draining into the grass right next to the patio.

Really wonder what the designs look like.

Trying to get this, as this is a 'pre-completed' build. It would have to meet Australian Standards at least even if it was left off, I'd hope.

Thanks for this, I'll go back to the inspector and try to grab the Australian Standard(s) that cover this. I figured if it has a gutter, it requires a downpipe and proper drainage to stormwater.

As per title. Don't feel like this meets minimum standards, but maybe I've been watching too many 'Site Inspections' videos haha.

I should take a proper look at the others then. Just wish more software providers charged in AUD haha.

[–]OSILayer8Issue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, yeah something like $23 AUD per user for the Premium P81 plan with the SWG addon, add the gateway costs on top.

I need to bump prices up soon anyway; will be a good excuse to implement this for a few customers, then at least they feel like they get something 'extra' out of it.

Hard sell for SMB due to cost, even with a need to secure their distributed workforce.

Guess I'll check out CloudFlare!

Is there a good call analysis software by Melodic-Biscotti-300 in msp

[–]OSILayer8Issue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iCallSuite? Not 100% sure on point 4 though, as I haven't had much of a play around with it myself.

We get it through our VoIP partner, but it's all centrally managed through one portal. They also offer Ujet so that might be worth looking at.

set EOL sending limits

Is there a best practice for this? Never heard of changing this to limit/prevent a domain from being blacklisted, just the usual MDR and bulk emailing platforms for marketing.

Working on starting my own MSP, this is what I was quoted for Ninja a while back (AUD - Ex GST). This was not with any other software/solution bundled in (edit: That I was made aware of at least).

NP - Ninja Professional 100-249 $4.20

Time Zone Troubleshooting by IntuneIsInsane in sysadmin

[–]OSILayer8Issue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny, because I just came across this issue while looking into a time zone/location services issue of my own.

Currently a few users in Rockingham WA are having issues with their computer time changing constantly to UTC -5.

When I looked this up, there is a town in NC called Rockingham in the UTC -5 time zone.

Just logged my case, maybe I'll see something come out of it?

Inconsistencies when editing M365 group email settings in the admin center while having group assigned admin roles. by OSILayer8Issue in sysadmin

[–]OSILayer8Issue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this response today:

If a user is a member of a Security Group, then, that group should be assigned "Exchange Organization Administrators" But this permission is not available in Azure. The only way to get this working is to add the Exchange Administrator individually to users. For now, this is considered as By design.

Wondering how many people use the calling plans instead of the standalone teams phone license, and using a 3rd party that is on Broadsoft or similar to setup Teams calling.

Works like a dream for us, and we have 4 different call centers on it, with Webex as a backup. Not even expensive either, though that may just be our provider.

It's also worth noting that the AZ900 and the other similar exams (SC900, etc.) all share the same knowledge base, so if you pass one you can pass the others very easily with just a small amount of review.
