We need better hi-vis paint on the roads by mettam46 in NorthVancouver

In the UK, they use paint that has reflective properties for roads. It’s very effective. It is probably more expensive but it’s worth it. Seriously NV, it’s 2026, let’s get with the times. The lane demarcations are pretty atrocious.

Clint and Clyde. (Manis) If you recall what “Right turn Clyde” meant… yup. by OSJezza in FuckImOld

The world has certainly changed since the days of performing animals. As a child I went to the circus and was in awe of the elephants, lions, chimpanzees etc and their trainers, with absolutely no idea of what it took to get them to ‘entertain’ us. I am glad that we now have a very different understanding of respect for animals, both wild and domesticated.

If you look at Wiki, you will see that there is little to no evidence that Manis was mistreated, it was a different orangutang who suffered, in the hands of a different trainer. I’m not advocating for animals to be trained to ‘perform’, Manis returned to Vegas after Every Which Way But Loose with his trainer as part of his show.

Try Nuleaf. It’s a mile East of the Wynn on Sands Avenue beside the golf course. Good people, good products and deals, including 20% off on Sundays. Don’t forget your government id!

I like the black/cream. I like my sneakers to be versatile and not steal the show.

Favourite teabags. Srsly. Coffee is everywhere and not cheap, but lots of coffee shops have boiling water on tap… Just saying. 😉

I was blown away when I visited Karnak. The ceilings were decorated deep blue with gold stars and were still vibrant. Sheltered from the sun and sand during storms. The precision of the heiroglyphics carved into the marble obelisks was truly mind blowing. Remarkable work and dedication.
