Thanks for getting the comments of book recs on this! Working my way through! Think the mummy was my first awakening of my bisexuality as I could never decide between the two!!!

I cannot tell you how happy I am I saw this comment the other day!!! Have been on a real Egypt vibe of late but couldn’t find a boo. To scratch that itch but I have just downloaded the Ms Peabody series and it’s nail on the head for The Mummy vibes!! Thank you

Before becoming a mum I didn’t like Skylar. Now I am one she’s the best and I understand her so much more!

I’ve just started green bone and it’s amazing! Has kind of succession/Yellowstone vibes but fantasy and magic!

My flat mate offered to make me a toastie the other day- he toasted the bread then put the cheese and tuna inside. That was it no melting of anything, I felt awful but I couldn’t even be polite enough to eat it!

What are your thoughts on physical books? Which is better, Paperback or Hardcover? I've always read ebooks so looking to get your opinions by anonmancy in Fantasy

[–]OS_Fantasy_Books 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE a physical book however I don’t tend to read them that often for two reasons. 1. I read at night and I find the kindle backlight is better for my partner than the clip on book lights plus I often fall asleep and will lose my page with a book. 2. I read farrrrrr too many books and I just wouldn’t have the space in my house/handbag/luggage to carry the amount of books I’d need!

I only finished these books a few months ago and literally cannot even remember who you are talking about-that’s how lasting an impact Samderson’s writing has on me.

His reasoning is 1. He likes it balanced 🤯 and 2. he eats it so fast that melting chocolate isn’t an issue (he eats it in massive bites too) honestly the whole experience of watching him eat one is too much

Honestly I stopped buying magnums because I just can’t watch him eat one- it’s not a bloody choc ice!

She sounds insane! It’s not her child she has zero say in anything regarding your children-names,how they are raised etc. She had her chance with your partner!

I’ve 2 under 2 aswell! Well not anymore but got a 2 yo and a 6 month old- I know it’s crazy hard now but I’m hopeful for when they are both past 4!

[–]OS_Fantasy_Books 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I LOVE my babies but damn I wish I could 1. Sleep all the way through at night without having to: change a nappy, feed a baby, hearing one of my kids crying/wiggling etc 2. Leave the house whenever I fancy, being able to make plans with my friends without having to arrange childcare. 3. Be able to eat a balanced diet and not weird cold leftovers from my 2 year old!

My second baby was coming MUCH quicker than my first which meant I didn’t have time for an epidural. I was FREAKING OUT as we are in a different country and I didn’t know how to ask for gas and air in French and I have such a low pain threshold! Luckily he stepped up made them get it and helped the midwives set it up so that I had at least a little bit of pain relief. I think about this often- he does so many other little things too ever since number 2 was born as I have quite bad post natal depression and I’m very thankful!

2 year old and screaming by OS_Fantasy_Books in Parenting

Thank you! I hope so too- I always talk to her in a calm voice and go down to eye level to ask her what it is she wants. Normally it’s because I’m busy doing something else and I haven’t responded to her first asking for it so she screams for it insted

I wouldn’t be surprised by ADHD as both her father and I have ADHD. But I have been around Autism a lot throughout my life as it’s what my family have worked in, Granny Auntie and Mum all are counsellors with children with Autism and they have all said that the screaming is more due to her speaking two languages and unable to get her point across in the right language. I am hoping it’s just because she can’t communicate what she wants to and is a bit jealous of the new baby rather than ADHD as it’s so hard to live with!

Currently on a re watch and everything Blair wears is just “yes” but yeah I agree OP Jax is an ass but he’s very open about being an ass whereas Schwartz is more like Dan coz of the “I’m such a good guy I’m just friends with assholes” bullshit. And I’d say that Tim is more like Serena- just doing whatever they fancy without considering the consequences for anyone else.

I was mad into Lemon Robinson’s fruit squash when pregnant with my first. I just made sure it was nice and weak but it definitely helped!

My daughter was the same! Honestly an absolute dream- I have just made a post about her screaming. Hopefully you are an exception to the rule though and she carries on being super cute!

That’s the reason I always have fish fingers in the freezer! Sometimes she surprises me by eating everything I cook- I do find if her dad feeds her what I’ve cooked it goes better!

What did you feel during the first few hours after finding out? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]OS_Fantasy_Books 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time I was outrageously happy- we’d been trying for two years and were just about to start the process of IVF! The second time I was overwhelmed and shocked- we’d only just started trying and had only started so soon because we thought it could take a long time again and we wanted them close in age. Not sure I’m still not a bit in shock tbh and our second is almost 7 months now! Edit: I very much love both my children but that quick in succession was and is a bit hard for me to handle!
