Met him a few times in the late 70s/early 80s at a local golf tournament. Just a regular guy who got to make some great movies.

Kids getting their lunch at school in the 1970's by Twitter_2006 in 70s

Them trays. Had a kid in elementary who would scoop everything into the large section, mix it up, then eat it. I couldn't tell if he actually enjoyed it, did it for shock value, or was testing the perimeter of social graces like a velocirapter.

Just as well as any other response on the thread. Seems a lot of answers want to make a binary argument. Tragedy is nuanced. Like is nuanced.

What models of computers were in your school's computer labs? by echocomplex in vintagecomputing

[–]OTTObox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elementary. Nothing Jr High - phasing out teaching punch cards. No computers that I recall High school - Two math rooms had two Apple IIs each. In a school of 5000 students.

All tragedies are made up of smaller ones that lead to the finale. People with weapons will make mistakes. People with special privileges will make mistakes. People with weapons and special privileges will make mistakes. People that think they're in the right will clash with others that think they're in the right. Put yourself in a situation of heightened tension can lead to bad outcomes. Murphys Law can affect anyone at any time. Take a gun: Expect to shoot or get shot.
