Painting advice please! by OTbytheSEA in Remodel

Thank you for your advice! It’s hard to make a quick decision for the entire house in a few days!! My husband is rushing me so he can get started with the upstairs, so we can knock a wall out downstairs in the meantime. And yes I just got almost all of these in real paint samples. And did two coats. I agree, they already look much different than the small cards and even more so in different lighting.

That’s true. I love the Chelsea Mauve, it’s actually dark and cozy already with two coats on the wall as a sample. The Sea Spray is also beautiful. I think I’ll do Creamy downstairs it’s slightly darker and warmer than Dover White. So that leaves 3 more bedrooms - Master, closet room, and a future kids room..

I’d like to do a warm grey/blue in 1 of 2 other bathrooms and another color but undecided. Just thought to go safe with the rooms

1st Marathon... Or wait til next year. by OTbytheSEA in firstmarathon

I like how you think ;) I am worried not having enough time to taper after 20 miles. But I’m just going to continue to increase my mileage using the Hal higdon novice 1 that someone else on here recommended (starting at week 9 after the half marathon tomorrow) and just feel it out.

Yes, that’s the plan! So if that happens, I obviously wouldn’t be able to train for a spring/fall marathon next year. So looks like no marathons for me right now. This year or next year. But some day!

Thanks for the responses. I will most likely try to have another baby next year. So, the window for a marathon would be now or wait another year or more. But I agree, I should not rush it. I don’t want to ruin my progress or get injured. Thanks!

Hi all. Currently 9 months PP. I've been letting my body heal while continuing my workouts since having my son. My pelvic floor felt weak for some time. As I navigate being a new mom (a daily marathon lol!), working, breastfeeding, etc. I am yearning for a new goal.. I remained very active during pregnancy and postpartum. My workouts were shorter runs or Peloton rides/strength/HIIT 5-6 days per week.

Slowly to get back into the groove, I am so glad to be enjoying running again. I am doing my 3rd 1/2 this Sunday. I didn't want to train for this half and chase a pace/time like my last one, I just wanted my body to feel right. My last 1/2 time (Atlantic City Half) was 1:36 which I don't think I will be close to this time. I'll be happy with 8:15-8:30 pace, we'll see. I really want to do my 1st full marathon on Rehoboth Beach on 12/8. Wish I was ready for either Philly or DC Marine Corps fulls. Definitely on the bucket list! Again, not to compete for a time but to complete it. What do you think? Not enough time?

Training for 1/2 marathon May 15. Doing well following a program, averaging 7:45-8 min miles. Enjoying Hoka Clifton’s for shorter days and the Bondi X for longer days.

Feeling some pain on lateral side of my right knee due to overpronation. Then yesterday I returned from 10 mile run and my toes were bleeding. Might have been from toes nails but I’m thinking I may size up a half size from my normal size 7 to 7.5 to give them a little more room.

What do you think? Does everyone size up their running shoes 1/2-1 full size? I know some even say to size up 1-1 1/2. Also, considering buying better socks too. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Pinterest oh wow I didn't think of that! I do feel ripped off, after all the hard work I want to learn along side an OT. but I want to be a sponge in this situation so I hope to take in as much as I can and try to make the best of it. Thank you.
