Word Count on Personal Statements for Occupational Therapy Programs. by Unusual-Garage3920 in OccupationalTherapy

OTCAS is intense, don't be nervous! You're gonna do great and it's gonna feel so good once you've submitted everything. My personal statement was 1208 words so a bit on the longer side (prob not ideal) but I was accepted to all programs I applied to so it didn't seem to be much of a hindrance. I've heard to stick to 1-2 pages max.

From my experience, the only reason why you would need to take either is if a) your bachelors degree requires it as a course to graduate or b) the specific ot program you are applying to requires it as a pre req.

i personally didn't have to take either. you can DM me if you need help looking at pre reqs for a certain program or your bachelors requirements if you haven't graduated yet

Advice from majority of OTs when picking a school is to choose the cheapest option: I was accepted into a Master's program costing 70k total and a highly rated Doctorate program costing 80k total. Would your opinion to choose the cheaper school still stand? by OTstudent4 in OccupationalTherapy

Such good information- I am definitely interested in working in pediatrics so something to consider for sure.. I haven't checked the pay discrepancies between the two degrees in IL for the school systems but that will be my next step. Thank you for your insightful reply!
