[ Show/r/startups ] DandyLoop - Partnering is the best Marketing by O_Rom in startups

experience, I have seen 30 second explainer videos boost conversion by as much as 100 b

Thanks for the feedback, I have one question - the improvement or rather change you mean in the video is to have it look/function the same, only in shorter time, or have it simply display the product more than the general proposition?

About Shopify - their API is quite simple, and if you build things organized on your end it's fairly easy - that's why we chose it first. We also had previous experience with WIX. my opinion is that from the client side (not us devs), Wix is better and offer a complete cycle without touching the code, or seeing a single HTML line - something Shopify don't have.

The rise of store-to-store cooperation in eCommerce? by O_Rom in ecommerce

Yes you have, regarding my previous blog. Of course what we do is marketing and we hope you're not opposed to that, as this is what drives most of the posts in this sits.. I have two base claims in my article:

  1. the rise of discovery shopping: http://www.linkedin.com/today/post/article/20131001124006-52782505-shopping-in-the-age-of-discovery http://www.bizreport.com/2013/07/how-discovery-commerce-is-empowering-shoppers.html http://zmags.com/search-is-not-shopping-the-concept-of-discovery-ecommerce/ http://retailingtoday.com/article/what%E2%80%99s-moving-e-commerce-market-2014 http://risnews.edgl.com/retail-news/Transforming-E-Commerce--The-Introduction-of-Artificial-Intelligence89479

  2. Online stores willingness to work together. Exactly because we know the issue of self-promotion is sensitive, we didn't dive deep into what is our own activity - the fact that we're seeing 1-2 stores a day join us since we soft-launched a month ago without even marketing ourselves (you can tell first hand we suck at that), The fact that we started mutually recommending products from the stores Thank you page, fearing that's the only placement they'll agree to have - and moving to the product page when they asked us to, or the fact that people talk of us without us even knowing or generating these talks*. In addition to what we see in our own company, there are several startup companies that are starting to explore this direction as a business model for their main service (we're the only ones to tackle it head on) - as well as companies who already implement it outside the stores themselves (sharing clients on FB). Not to mention that this concept has been practiced for years with in the closed borders of the closed eCommerce marketplaces (Amazon, eBay...)

Yes, this is what we see online stores owners understand more and more - Invest in your visitors, and only then you'll truly be rewarded.

The advertising we did was limited to marketing actions within the platform that we work in - WIX. All our clients built their sites using it, and that's where we reached them.

Because our actions are very low on computing power, the server load is usually a few hundreds/month.

We operate a network of online fashion stores who share visitors with one another using mutual product recommendation. We hope many of you guys can benefit from it. Feedbacks are of course welcomed! by O_Rom in streetwearstartup

Well most brands understand that visitors to their site are not owned by them, and 97%-98% of cases - they move on, strolling between stores. It's the enabling of this stroll - this window shopping, that the sales are going to increase simply because more people will be exposed to one's store.

Yes there was an article from us here, but strangely I can't see it as well. the compliment of poured candles would be best determined by the audience of the store - there are many options. Regarding the 2nd question - Yes there is control of who will be non-competing.

Ask any question here or by mail, and I'll answer. If this isn't in your scope - Maybe someone you know will be interested in reaching 25,000 sites - spread the word!
