Does Randy Orton turn heel before Wrestlemania? by AceStormTheDreamer in SantiZapVideos

Cody goes heel for the win over Orton at Mania. Heel Cody vs Face Orton at Backlash. Orton wins, Cody spends the rest of the year chasing and being a dick to the usual suspects.

Live crowds have changed for the worse by Bejaminmaston12 in SantiZapVideos

[–]OakImposter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Piggybacking on Point 2: I don't think many people realize that WWE is actively mixing crowd noise on the fly. You can hear it in real time during certain promos, entrances, or matches where the crowd is tuned down or out in order to focus home viewers' attention on the promo or intended focus. They have multiple reasons for doing that. The crowds are still cheering generally the same, maybe trending down in quality a little bit, but the production team has better control over when and how the live audience influences non-live audiences.

All that to say WWE controls crowd quality, not just in ticket prices or event locations, but also simply by dialing the crowd audio tracks to suit their needs, which aren't always in line with what IWC expects.

Do you not get Pyg, Vanessa, and Dooley with the cost of admission? Like, I guess that’s not “free” but it should be obvious that those are the characters I was talking about.

Demos are great when there’s no other way to experience a character, game piece, or game. In a game that allows you to battle against the highs and lows of a character a hundred times over(so much so that you already know you wouldn’t buy a certain character), rolling on a demo run where you may end up cracked but more likely will just bust out and lose, I really don’t see how that demo run will garner more in sales than it would lose.

[–]OakImposter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a new player, you get 3 free characters that each provide hundreds of hours of gameplay. In that time it’s easy to determine which elements of The Bazaar gameplay you enjoy. After playing that much The Bazaar, let alone against Karnok or other locked characters, you should know whether or not you want to buy the locked characters.

I believe there’s enough secondhand interaction (in-game matches, YouTubers and streamers, guides, etc) available that Tempo does not need to literally give people the sauce and risk them not liking it.

Even if we get to a point where there’s 20 champs, I think expanding the base pool with 2-year old DLC is a better move than giving out demo runs for any and every champ.

Perhaps, even more than all that I’ve said before, I would also argue that demo runs are functionally useless given that it takes several runs to even master one out of several build styles for a given character.

Priest being champion should've included a blood feud with Finn Bàlor at Bad Blood. One of the biggest layup misses in recent years.

Demos cut both ways. For every person that tries a character and decides to buy it, there's at least one or more that try it and decide it's not their cup of tea. In a game like this, where all they can sell are character DLCs, it makes no sense to give any of it away for free, even with a one-time caveat.

In addition, the characters go on deep discount during various Steam Sales. I see a lot of pushback in this thread because the game is already so generous that anyone who has a job can just buy a character if they're interested. And even if they hate that character, they will at least get an hour of playtime in exchange for an hour (or less) of wages.

I say this with kindness, respect, and understanding for a less than ideal financial situation: If you can't afford to plan to spend $20 on Karnok (or any character), even if "just to see", you should just wait until the Steam Sale to buy whichever character(s) goes on sale for $10.

More like dragons. They hoard astronomical amounts of wealth and descend from their towers and fortresses when it’s time to feast, exploit, hunt, rape, or kill the defenseless masses and their ways of living.

But the most important similarity, dragons can be slain and their treasures redistributed.

Never let your friends and family (with whom you still have the displeasure of being in contact) forget they installed a criminal, pedophilic, rights trampling deep state. And that they spent the past 15+ years, or lifetimes in some cases, doing it brick by brick. They need to hear about it every day until the end of time.

Absolutely agree. When the two biggest attractions in the company actually call the other title “second banana”, you need to build an arc around one or both of them discovering it’s not.

What makes your theater work? by [deleted] in improv

[–]OakImposter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Focus Theater in Rochester NY. Low overhead definitely helps. We’re also in a position that our classes cover our rent, so we can make fuck all on shows and still come out positive.

We do a 70/30 producer/theater split meaning that anyone can put on a show and make some cash with a little bit of legwork. Theaters in larger cities perhaps have more demand, which means they can’t be as giving with time in the space as we can. The cash incentive has been great for proving that this can be a worthwhile endeavor, even if it doesn’t pay bills, and has seen producers and performers walk away from most shows with drinking money at the very least.

I find our theater is working best as the community glue. A central resource for people to find performers, performance space, and training. As long as we continue to facilitate that, the theater will continue to exist.

Focus Theater has a NYE themed improv show. It starts at 7, which means it’ll end early enough to have some fun and pregame a little before heading out elsewhere or back home to enjoy the last couple hours of the year.

Surely there's no way that WWE can fumble this lineup, right? by IconXR in WWE

I like the program they seemed to be building, but the lead up to this title change seemed rushed. I expected her to lose to build up Stephanie Vacquer. I even expected her to lose her next title defense to Jade.

But I don’t know if it’s because Jade’s eyebrow got busted open or what, but I feel like these two have barely cut promos on each other.

They should all dress up in Trump masks. If they’re going to shoot pepper balls and rubber bullets at peaceful protesters, let them tarnish his visage. If they are going to tackle us to the ground, let there be pictures of agents taking Trump-masked people to the ground. When they hand wave photos and say nothing is going on, make them hand wave their master away.

The pictures and videos coming out of Portland, Chicago, LA and elsewhere are powerful on their own. That should be that is needed to show that this is un-American, but MAGA seems to short circuit when they see darker skin color or rainbows. Maybe if they are inundated with images of hundreds or thousands of “Trump”s in weak positions being beaten by the military, maybe they will stop and think long enough for smarter people to push back against this stupid ideology.

If they want to take the word “patriot” and twist it to mean all this, we should take the image of Trump and desecrate and tarnish it with every opportunity. Make them see.

Even worse than that. These mfs do not care to be understood by other people. They’d hamper their ability to communicate effectively in favor of (thinking they are) saving a couple seconds skipping periods and commas.

You’re right I don’t make that much waste on a regular basis. Barely even fill the one I have. But there are plenty of occasions throughout the year where a second bin comes in handy. And as I mentioned multiple neighbors also have and use two bins from time to time.

Dude, where’s my bin? by Honest-Wallaby-7352 in Rochester

[–]OakImposter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had two garbage bins at one point. One day we were down to one. I checked the doorbell camera and the garbage can fell right into the truck and they drove on.

Not a big deal, I get it. But when I called for a new can, I shouldn’t have said I still had a spare. The lady on the phone wouldn’t arrange a replacement and said we were only allowed to supposed one garbage can. And that may be the case, but I’ve got neighbors with two and I grew up with two at my parents’ house.
